One problem related to engine has been reported for the 2011 Jeep Patriot. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
2011 Jeep Patriot dies randomly. It dies going down the freeway at 70 or it can die going down the drive way. I bought the vehicle new and put approximately 400 miles on it and it died seven times. It has been in the dealership shop for six weeks tomorrow. They have had it die on them numerous times and have not ever told me it would be fixed. They said it was a software issues. It will qualify for the missouri lemon law. I am concerned that there are other Patriots out there that will die. It is very dangerous as you lose power steering and brakes.
