I bought my used Jeep Patriot a year and a half ago. In the beginning it would jerk on acceleration. Now is accelerates on its own. Big clunking noise shortly after starting to drive. Looses power at times. Abs, traction control, brake, 4x4 lights all are on. Tailgate stopped opening and now the body creaks a lot.

Tl the contact owns a 2013 Jeep Patriot. The contact stated while driving 75 mph, when temperature gauge began to rise and an unknown warning noise began to sound. The contact stated the vehicle began to decelerate speed until it seized. The contact stated he was stationed for unknown amount of time until the vehicle temperature was normal. The contact stated transmission overheated and check engine warning light were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to local dealer prestige Chrysler Jeep Dodge located at 6520 centennial center blvd, las vegas, nv 89149, (702) 309-8000, and was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired and experienced the failure. The manufacturer had been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 65,000.

4 Electrical System problem

Failure Date: 08/01/2018

Tl the contact owns a 2013 Jeep Patriot. While driving approximately 60 mph, the speed drastically reduced below 30 mph and the vehicle stalled. In addition, various warning indicators and instrument panel gauges illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed by a dealer. The contact, a mechanic, inspected the vehicle and was waiting for instructions from the manufacturer on how to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer indicated that the vehicle was excluded from any warranty campaigns and was not included in any recalls. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 44,346.

All accessory functions intermittently fail, and may or may not come back on. This includes the radio, wipers, turn signals, fan, and cruise control.

I own a 2013 Jeep Patriot. I have had nothing but issues with it and I purchased it brand new in December of 2012. From it turning completely off on me while sitting at lights. To it having power surges, and the seatbelts stop working. I had the engine replaced March of 2016 and it only has 60,000 miles on it to date. According to what Chrysler said, it malfunctioned on me and it left me stranded on a freeway late at night. There is a constant issue with the coolant system. And I am now needing another engine it, because of that issue. And Chrysler wont cover it even though it is under warranty. I will never purchase another Jeep vehicle.

7 Electrical System problem

Water leaks from the light above the dash. It is very dangerously distracting while driving, but also has fried my stereo/computer once already. It has now soaked all of the front interior and has started to affect my electrical system. Have taken it into the dealership three times in the last two years and they cannot find or fix the problem. It happens when it rains, but not always, it builds up and collects somewhere and comes out at various times. . While stationary or driving. . . The worst is while driving and turning corners, it wil pour out water onto the driver or the passenger side depending on the turn.

8 Electrical System problem

Transmission overheats. Wipers turn on automatic. Patriot wont start sometimes. Patriot shuts off randomly. Cluster info lights come on randomly.

Manufacturer safety recall issued NHTSA #16v-668 #s61 occupant restraint controller status: remedy not yet available also problem with tippit modem where all dashboard lights light up Jeep dealership does not know how to fix.

Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Jeep Patriot. The contact stated while driving the vehicle had experienced stalling, jerking, and exterior rear and front lights did not illuminate. The electronic throttle ,the check engine, and the electronic stability control warning indicators illuminated. In addition the vehicle made an abnormal noise. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the vehicle could not diagnosed the issue. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle failure mileage was 29,580. Kh.
