Tl the contact owns a 2014 Jeep Patriot. While driving 35 mph, the contact attempted to re-engage the cruise control. Without warning, the cruise control engaged and the vehicle accelerated up a hill. The contact had to forcefully depress the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. The contact deactivated the cruise control and was able to drive the vehicle. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 137,000.
