Two problems related to brake disc pads have been reported for the 2015 Jeep Patriot. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
My car is 2 years old and my brake pads have been replaced three times in addition to new getting new rotors. Problems started occurring when I only had my car for 6 months and whenever I brake, it sounds like metal grinding on metal. Neither my dealership nor Jeep themselves have a reasonable explanation for this problem. It is completely unacceptable for a brand new car. In addition, my car has also had problems starting. Within the last two weeks, I have had two instances of trying to turn my car on and the battery came on, but the car did not make any attempt to turn-over. It took multiple attempts to actually get it started. Before now, my car has had a few instances where it takes a while for it to turn over, which it eventually did come on, but it was struggling and I could tell it was very weak.
The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Patriot. While reversing, an abnormal squeaking sound emitted from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on four separate occasions where the brake pads and rotors were replaced, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and refused to service the vehicle again. The failure mileage was 5,367.
