One problem related to front air bag sensor control has been reported for the 2017 Jeep Patriot. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When a person sits down and buckles up on the front passenger seat the seat belt sensor chimes. It doesn't matter if the engine is off/on or in motion when the seat belt is buckled the seat belt chime will go activate. The passenger seat belt sensor is malfunctioning. The seat belt signal goes off randomly when a passenger is riding while wearing the seat belt.
