4 Headlights problem of the 2014 Jeep Patriot

Failure Date: 07/23/2016

The windshield wipers on my Jeep will go off constantly and I have absolutely no control over them. The headlights will also turn on and off by themselves periodically with no warning or ability to control them. When it rains my windshield wipers and headlights are unpredictable and I can not drive safely. I believe these issues may be in connection to the recent NHTSA recall #16v-668 manufacturer recall #s61. This issue has been going on since July of 2016 and happens whenever my car is turned on. At this point in time, Chrysler automotive has failed to remedy the situation.

5 Headlights problem of the 2015 Jeep Patriot

Failure Date: 03/25/2015

I've noticed my headlights in the front of my car are very bright. I usually drive a 60 mile round trip at night and it is not a rare occurrence to have more than 10 cars flash me. I do put my headlamps on the low beam, but cars still flash me thinking it's on high beams. I've talked to my friend who also has a Jeep Patriot 2014, he has the same problem as well.

6 Headlights problem of the 2012 Jeep Patriot

Failure Date: 12/13/2013

I was driving home from work at approximately 55 mph while passing a tractor trailer up a moderate incline when the engine of my 2012 Jeep Patriot latitude failed. Upon passing the tractor trailer, all of the indicators on the dashboard began to light up - then the indicators, as well as my headlights, completely died. When the lights went out, the engine failed, and my car began to slow to a complete stop on a busy highway. I was barely able to get into a small space on the shoulder of the highway before a tractor trailer very nearly took my life. At first, I thought it was the car battery. I purchased this vehicle 13 days ago, so perhaps the battery had gotten weak on the dealer lot in the winter months. And, after my car was jumped, it began to work. However, the car could only be started once, and the engine will no longer turn over. It has been towed to a local dealership. I drive extensively for a living, and I am afraid that I will die in a car accident in this Jeep Patriot because the car failed completely at highway speeds. I have researched this and have found that it is a problem with 2011-2012 Jeep Patriots. Please enforce a recall!.

7 Headlights problem of the 2007 Jeep Patriot

Failure Date: 06/29/2007

June 26, 2007 purchased new 2007 Jeep Patriot, and on June 29, 2007 -windshield washer fluid began spraying erratically . Also, when not engaged, headlights lights didn't always come on, and sometimes unable to disengage high beams. July 1 - took it to dealer for service July 2 - contacted by dealer who said that they could not find a problem, but when we picked it up the windshield washer fluid would not work at all and the lights only came on intermittently. . . . Left at dealer July 3 - contacted by dealer who said that there was a TSB that they were previously unaware of and that they fixed the problem by "resetting a button". . . We picked up car and 3 miles down the road washer fluid began to spray erratically so that we could not see out of the windshield. . . Washer fluid would not turn off until car was turned off. . . Dealer picked car up again July 6 - contacted by dealer who stated that they had replaced the multifunction switch and that the car was ready to be picked up. . . Picked up car and checked function of the washer fluid - did not work at all. The vehicle is still at the dealer. We feel that these issues are a safety concern because you can not see out of the windown when the washer fluid engaged spontaneously, and the lights are erratic.
