My 2016 Jeep Patriot was taken in for intermittent stalling and my engine was stalling. This happened a few times. My car rpm went from 3 to 0 and I could not accelerate. I had to put the car in park and turn the car off and start it back up. The first time my car would not start back up right away. Luckily there was no one close enough behind me nor were I was going fast enough to be in an accident. I go it to a repair shop and was told my crankshaft and sensor would need to be replaced. My car is currently being serviced at gandrud Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram in green bay, wisconsin. The phone number is (920) 468-1212. I previously looked up a recall for Jeep Patriots and there was a recall for crankshaft "recall # 16v907000. Unfortunately my car was manufactured just after the date of July 15, 2016 which is the cutoff of the recall. This recall is exactly what is currently being replaced on my car. I think this recall needs to be extended as this could have been a more serious accident and to help prevent more future accidents. My car should have been included in this recall.
