One problem related to steering rack and pinion has been reported for the 2015 Jeep Renegade. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Initial take off from a parked position, the transmission jerks hard through gears 1-3 in automatic transmission. Coming to a stop or slowing down it kicks hard, often times jerking forward and not stopping. Turning the wheel left or right, there is a grind or rub within the rack and pinion system. No warning lights on the dash or check engine lights are present.
