Body problems of the 2016 Jeep Renegade

Mechanism for rear window on left side does not stop going up. Pushes rubber seal off the car and window falls out from going up too much.

The indoor cloth paneling is peeling off due to cheap adhesive materials used by Jeep manufacturers. The filament inside the cloth paneling is falling out and getting in the air I am breathing in the car. I looked online and it seems this is a problem with many 2015-2017 Jeep Renegades and is said to be a design/material defect. This should be a recall. The head lights and right side parking light flicker and sometimes don’t come on. This may be an electrical issue that other 2015-2017 Jeep Renegade owners document having as well. The dealer wants to charge hundreds of dollars for these repairs when they are Jeep brand defects.

The mysky roof on my Jeep broke off and flown off and onto the highway, the latch on the inside broke off into tiny plastic pieces causing the sunroof to fly up and out onto the highway. The vehicle was in motion going 63 mph at the time the event took place, on a highway.

Posting this incident due to seeing so many other similar issues with the Renegade windshield. I leased the Renegade under a great deal of pressure in July 2016. Now I am seeing why. It is a dangerous piece of junk. Issue: I was driving the vehicle during week two with a friend that was a witness. We were on a dry, clear road with two other cars, something flew up and dinged the windshield and the windshield cracked. Had to make claim to get it repaired. Company did a patch, but the star crack is still in the lower part of my vision. Since this is a lease I likely will need to have the entire windshield replaced. I haven't had any claims or tickets in well over thirty years. I have had Jeeps and other Chrysler vehicles my entire life and never have I had a windshield crack with less than 300 miles on it. With the other engine issues and stalling issues this vehicle is a death trap. Going to tape a note to the back of the vehicle that the "this Renegade stalls and turns off without warning. Please don't hit me. " (reported in other incident reports. ).

Ever since we bought the Jeep it's had problems. Problems included shuttering, electrical malfunctioning, and door locks failing. Even problems with the sun roof. Each time we took it back to the dealership the Jeep was returned with �no problem found�. Just recently the service engine light came on and we took the Jeep to get serviced. The mechanic told us about an issue or recall that's been occurring to our model Jeep.
