The contact disassembled the rear driver's side brake light and discovered that the wiring harness, turn signal, and brake light were melted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 122,000.
