On July 21, 2023, I was vigorously hit in the rear by someone. According to the police report, this person's airbags deployed. Unfortunately, my airbag, although hit extremely hard, did not. I was injured pretty bad and had to get treatment for over a year. I am still not completely healed. I was uneasy about my airbag not deploying and was sent a safety recall notice explaining why it did not. To resolve the issue, the manufacturer is offering free repair of my vehicle. This is not sufficed, and I demand pain and suffering along with medical help. The airbag not deploying during my accident resulted in increased injury. Please help me mediate with the manufacturer.

The Renegade touch screen radio that is used for all controls including seat warmers, climate control, rear back up camera, gps ect has had many cases of the factory issued radio screens delaminating causing it to make sos emergency calls and switching through different touch screen controls due to the delamination of the radio screen at no fault of our own … tolers Jeep in morehead city nc has confirmed they have had to replace many radios due to this issue but hasn’t issued any recall for this safety issue on this model… I have now had to resort to keeping the radio turned off to avoid unwanted sos calls to the local police department and malfunction of the touch screen controls.

I bought this car in may of 2020. It is absolutely ridiculous that a barely 5 year old car is already shifting hard. And has to go under maintenance for the transmission. It is not just my car, but over 75% of Jeep Renegade owners is having this issue. It is unsafe. I noticed it when I was rolling to a stop at a stop light and my car jerked forward into oncoming traffic. Luckily no one was coming. It could have been deadllllyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! fix the issue. Now I have to stop farther from the light or sign because I know my car is going to lunge forward. A 5 year old car I have to treat like its 20 years old, I will never be buying another Jeep anything again. I was an impala owner for years and never had any issues. Even when my impala hit 19 years old and had almost 300,000 miles. A 5 year old car should by no means act like this. Now after dropping 12,000 on this car I have to leave work, loose more money and go to an appointment on the 21st to see if we can get this issue fixed.

I am a loyal customer of Chrysler owning 4 including including 2 cars in the last 20 months and on 1/4/2020 filed my first warranty claim that was denied by Chrysler. The problem was the drivers seat that adjusts manually is stuck and will not adjust. Chrysler claims that because the cause of the problem is something was placed under the seat causing it to get stuck, it is not covered and wants $900 to fix it. My problem is that everyone puts stuff under their front seats and myself and everyone I know has had no problems. The very fact that something place under a seat caused the seat to get stuck is on its face as a question of fact a problem with the manufacturing. That Chrysler would treat me, a longtime customer making his first warranty claim this way by refusing to stand by its products and fix this simple problem causes me to want to warn anyone thinking of buying a Chrysler of Chrysler's refusal to stand by its products for this simplest and most obvious design or other failure of Chrysler win making a car.
Odometer blinking/flashing.
The front seats have worn and have little pulls in them. They look like the seats are many years old and like they have been washed and have fuzz on them. Took it to dealership and they took pictures and sent to Chrysler and said they told them many people have complained about it but they wouldn't fix them. Told me that it looked worn from a foreign object moving across the seat. This was 3 months after I bought it brand new. They drilled a hole in my arm rest to mount the camera to take pictures of the seat and said they drilled it a little to big and sorry, didn't even say anything about how to fix it or anything. That's not the only problem with it but I'll file those complaints separate.
2019 Renegade owner had software issues since day 1 - chronic issues are a distraction & unsafe & yes I crashed the car due to that distraction. Heated seats shut off for no reason. Remote services wouldn't work radio had to be replaced & now heated seats stay on but now my stop n go doesn't work at all. Car is in shop all the time with no real resolution - I am only trading problems. Car hesitates when taking off from a light or from a stop front windshield major blind spot. Doors don't stay in an open position when getting in & constantly fall shut on me & my baby when trying to load him into car. Chrysler has been notified & they don't remotely care about my issues nor do they see that all my dealer visits as unacceptable. I didn't buy a new car for constant dealer visits & now I am stuck in a unsafe unreliable vehicle that Chrysler won't buy back & the negative equity is so bad on this vehicle that I can't trade out of it without a major loss. I have been in many other Jeep vehicles that have some or all of the same software issues as mine. Worse buy ever!.
I love my Renegade but there has been nothing but problems , first after only having it for a few months buying it Dec 2016 new the fuel pump broke and I ran out of gas when it said I had a quarter tank. Then the driver seat became stuck forward, I thought I fixed it it was fine now it's stuck back. I have to use a pillow behind me. Then at 40,000 miles just about the coolant fan started rattling as if something was loose, then it stopped all together. When I was in traffic I had to blast the heat because the temp gauge would go red. I checked the fuse it was blown so it was changed and still no fan. So I figured it's the coolant fan relay and they aren't easy to locate. Auto parts store and Jeep parts at the dealership are hard to talk to because it is a fiat part. You would think the 2jeep dealerships that sell them would know that. Now I see that a ton of people are having the same issue and needed the full fan assemble replaced and a new thermostat. . I do not have money for this. Why no recall.
My 2016 Jeep Renegade trailhawk vehicle has an intermittent problem in the driver seat electrical wiring. The driver seat power switches controlling the seat movement have become non-operational. The problem occurs without warning and present a possible safety issue is the case of an accident. In the event of an accident, the driver seat would be lock into a position locking the driver in the seat of the vehicle.

I am reporting a possible safety problem that has developed over recent months with my 2016 Jeep Renegade trailhawk 4x4. The vehicle has a recurring malfunction with the driver side seat electrical wiring assembly. The problem occurs intermittently after the seatbelt is properly secured and there is normal body movement in the driver seat while the vehicle is in motion. The problem so far affects several of the electronic subsystems connected to the vehicle's driver seat. This malfunction has caused temporary or permanent disabling of the driver seat power controls, airbag system, electronic parking brake system and seatbelt warning system.

Since I owned this Jeep I complained at service that the transmission seems strain and where a change in gear should naturally happen, the engine would whine and whine and then eventually shift gears. I was always met with service men with no response. Since the very beginning I was told that the engine burned considerable amounts of oil, and I would need to make additional special appt sand bring it in to make sure I had oil in the engine?the console above my head where the interior lights and the sunroof switch is there are red lights that light up from time to time indicating what/ and why are they lit? another question unanswered by the Jeep service dept of rockland cnty NY. Now that my Jeep is over 150,000 miles the electrical is shot. The check engine light comes on and goes off from time to time. The 4wheel drive sporadically works, same with the sunroof control and the driver seat lumbar and position controls on the driver seat. Only work when they want to.
