I purchased a used 2016 Jeep Renegade from a dealership located in chicago, illinois, on October 12, 2025. The seller assured me that the vehicle title was available and promised to mail it to me the day after the purchase, since I live in nebraska and could not return in person to pick it up. It has now been more than three weeks, and the dealership has not delivered the title, now claiming that the auction has not yet provided it. The vehicle is currently in my possession, but I am unable to register or legally use it due to the missing title. The dealership only provided a “bill of sale” as proof of purchase. In addition, the seller offered a 30-day warranty for a transmission issue, which began showing problems again before the warranty expired. However, the dealership refuses to issue any refund, stating that it “does not make returns. ” I believe this situation poses a risk to consumer safety, as the vehicle was sold without a valid title and with a significant mechanical issue that could affect its operation. I request that the dealership be investigated for possible violations of vehicle sales laws and consumer fraud.

Ac wasn’t working properly, replaced parts not working. Fan stopped working and removed fuse box and it worked bad wiring harness affecting all electrical, fire hazard, dealership would rather keep it than me driving because of fire or meltdown situation. Says part to repair has been discontinued. Why? engine hesitation, transmission when driving with jerk and almost causing vehicle to stop.

Engine stall. The first time it happened I was going about 35 mph down the street and the car quit accelerating. Engine still running all the lights on did not notice any warning lights. Coasted into a parking lot. Turned off car and restarted and drove 1/2 block home. Read online to start car in auxiliary mode three or five times. Did that and did not have a problem. About 3 or so weeks later, it happened on the highway and almost caused a wreck. Very scary! I got to the side of the road 3 times. Restarted and barely would start driving and it would happen again. Had car towed to dealership and started claim with Jeep. They can not duplicate the problem and find no codes. Other issues: passenger car entry warning, head module? or display will call people randomly, change radio stations and the reverse camera will come on while I'm driving, needs new struts ( only drive highway and in town ), uneven tire wear, auto windshield wipers does not work. Slow to shift out of first gear and jolts car when it shifts. Been at dealership for 3 weeks +.

This car is a lemon and the entire car should be a recall. Shortly after having it I had to replace the tires , brakes , suspension. Then just a couple months ago I had a sediment in the coolant that is very rare and the only time the mechanic experienced that was on recall cars where (not sure if I am saying this correctly) dust is left when they cast the engine in production. And it takes years for it to build up and destroy your car. Now it’s at Jeep in dade city FL and they said the engine is bad … after spending $950 on the sediment issue. Another $980 a couple weeks ago for battery , spark plugs , computer software update etc. Now they want another $700 just to open my engine up and see what’s wrong. I am done. So as of now I have no car. Jeep only offered me $2k to buy it from me. And I still owe $12k. And I put about $3k into it in the last 5 months. This should be illegal to sell a lemon like this and leave a consumer like me more than $12k out. And from my research. Many others have the same complaint. Something legally should be done about this.
While accelerating at a certain speed and letting go of the pedal the vehicle stalls causing a loud cluck sound depending of the speed of the acceleration. I am not sure if this issue will cause the vehicle to break down or cause other problems in the near future. In the beginning of November 2022, the drivers side has been making clunking noises when ever I reverse and while slowly taking from. It is Nov 25, and I have been told is the struts that have signs of defective because of the tires wearing down from the inner side. Also, I was told by a different mechanic the motor mount may be loose, and now the wheel bearing. I've replaced the wheel bearing on the driver's side and the noise has not completely left but the replacement helped. I am hoping the struts make the difference along with swapping to street tires.
There were no warnings on the vehicle to indicate a problem occurring. Coming from a complete stop there is a delay in accelerating to speed - feels like a stall and the pedal is not receiving any gas. . . But the tank is full. Dealership never found any issues nor were able to reproduce the same problem. This problem happens multiple times a year. This is dangerous for driving as I'm unable to get to full speed in traffic.
I was driving in right lane,40-45mph, heard a very loud bang (not a tire), front end of Jeep lifted up, then began veering to the right heading off the road. I was unable to break or turn steering. Next thing, I woke up from being knocked out, hit a pole, 3 witnesses heard the bang as well - one witness told police, all 3 air bags went off. Emergency services were summoned. Car totaled. Pole is still standing upright. Fortunately I did not die or get seriously injured. Emergency services said if I had hit the tree next to pole, the outcome of my injuries would have been totally different. Car was towed to auto repair center and they had never seen collision damage such as this. Insurance company notified. Police report made at time of accident. No driver citations. A few days later I contacted Jeep company, told them they needed to send someone out to look at this damage, because someone is going to die! they had a third party come out to the collision repair shop and get black box information/examined vehicle. A few days later, I received a carefully worded letter from Jeep that they saw no suspension or steering issues to be the reason for the accident. Only the bang, vehicle uplift on right side, hitting pole. No warning lights were on. This car was purchased new in 2/2018. I just hit the 30,000 miles, new tires on vehicle for 3 months and had only 2,000 miles of usage on them. The vehicle was in excellent condition and always maintained 100%. Even the farmer's insurance inspector stated car was in showroom condition. Rim broke in half along inner seam, no blowout evidence, tie rod broke in half, ball joint shaft inside of the knuckle (broke inside of it), pivot still in lower control arm. Have photos/police report/pics. No other vehicles involved. Husband had to help tow truck driver slide the suspension under vehicle to tow it. I can send upon request insurance company docs and letter from Jeep upon request.
The contact owns a 2016 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 mph the steering wheel suddenly began to shake and vibrate and moments later the front driver side wheel suspension system failed. The vehicle was towed to the local independent mechanic who diagnosed that the front wheel rack and pinion rod had dislodge. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified but no assistance was offered. The local dealer was not notified. The failure mileage was 122,000.
I am contacting you due to due to baxter service rep paul at baxter Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram dealer refusal to repair recalls for my Jeep Renegade. The recalls that generate from my insurance company allstate are indeed recalls my vehicle needs based on performance issues. He informed me that they're not recalls, and when I said allstate made them up, he said yeah! the information for the 4 recalls are from data. Gov. The service department at baxter says they are only going to repair the recall (for engine cooling fan) that Chrysler website shows! please advise &/or assist to resolve this issue! I have reported to the assistant service mgr justin sunquist and bbb as well. Thanks.

The Jeeps tiyrod broke while driving down hwy could not steer the vehicle this resulting the Jeep veered off the road an slamming into a telephone pole we had taken the vehicle to b serviced months before an the dealership stated that they would not look at or even. Help us they sent us away leaving us concerned on how we could go about getting the dealership to help an not long after that the accident happened.
Pulls to passenger side the wheels were cockeyed the dealer refuses to fix it correctly the dealer left two brand new ones on the front and almost wore off tires on the back and they had to put brand new brakes and rotors on the car because it started making really really bad sounds they don't want to fix it and I think they kirk and safety recalls on this car I think they did said they fix them so they can get it off the carfax to sell the car just keep in mind this car only has 24,464 on it and I'm a single dad I filled it I'm getting screwed around buy a multi billion dollar company frank fletcher Ford joplin missouri.
When I stop and park the vehicle still rolls in park before completely stopping in park.
Apx 2 months after purchase car would not start in my driveway. Diff codes would appear and it locked up. Towed to dealer and battery replaced. While driving and coming to stop on local roads car would feel like rearended and check oil light would come on and service engine icon and car would stall. On diff occasions when trying to start car in my driveway it would either not start or barely turn over and have no accelarition or 3 mph and would not go in reverse. Car would stall about 4 blocks from house when I came to stop. Transmission replaced and the rear end feeling fixed. Car had oil change appt recently and day of appt it would not start and engine light came on. Half hour later car started and I took it to dealer. Service said problem fixed. Week later same problem again. Took to dealer and they said problem fixed come get car. Service called me and said car wouldnt start for them even tho they fixed it. My car has now been in shop 3 weeks waiting on part. Part edt is now 9/11/19. I also had motor mounts replaced and now dealer also says problem with my suspension and that has caused my year old tires to wear thin. No photos to submit. Dates car affected approx.
I have not had this vehicle for a year only have had it for at least 9 months now drove it off the lot brand new only 2 miles on it. My tires are horrible the tread is showing on all 4 tires not only that the suspension on the car is completely unaligned. I have not hit anything or had any accidents in the vehicle at all. This should not be happening. Not only that I took it back to the dealership and they won't do anything about it.
There is a terrible under carriage noise as if one of the welds didn't hold. I took it to a repair shop and they said that the pan under the car was making noise and I would have to take it to the dealership. It was not damaged by anything, it just started making this noise.
I was driving on a paved highway at about 50 mph when I felt a slight wobblling sensation that felt like it was coming from the rear of the vehicle. I let off the accelerator and applied my brakes and the vehicle suddenly veered sharply into the oncoming lane of traffic. I turned the steering wheel to get the vehicle back in my own lane and the vehicle veered sharply back toward my lane and started to go off the road. Then the vehicle started veering sharply back and forth between both lanes and I had no control with the steering wheel. I had let off the accelerator when it started veering all over the road. At one point the vehicle was turning sideways and I thought it was going to roll over. I was approaching a sharp curve and the vehicle was headed towards a power pole and 3 concrete irrigation boxes. I kept tapping the brakes until the vehicle stopped, running off the road near the power pole, but fortunately did not make impact with the power pole or the concrete irrigation boxes. When I got out to see what happened, the rear driver's side trailing arm was hanging down and was no longer attached to the vehicle. Weather conditions were sunny, about 80 degrees and the pavement was dry. No police report was filed since I did not hit anything. I had just met another oncoming vehicle approximately 10 seconds prior to this; had the timing been differently I would have hit them head-on with no way to steer the vehicle to avoid the collision. Vehicle was then driven approx. 1 mile to my house at 5-10 mph.
Bought new 2017 Jeep Renegade, have vehicle to two dealers so far going to third next week. Have had to replace tires three times so far in 30,000 miles. Steering pops and pulls when turning, do not fill safe driving it. Dealers keep saying it is fixed but is not, think they are stumbling until warranty is gone, been going on sence around 12,000 miles. In motion and turning. Cunking off the tire on front driver side.
Since purchase electrical system randomly gives all warning lights and will not let me shut off vehicle without unhooking battery and hooking back up. Have had it in shop multiple times for same thing, neither Jeep place I have took it to can figure it out and tell me my only option is to have towed in next time it does it and leaving on and "praying their service dept is open when it happens" per rice Jeep Dodge on alcoa hwy, lenoir city Chrysler Dodge where purchased told me to get lawyer so I refuse to take back there. Rice Dodge has been much more helpful and understanding and not threatening me. Have been working with frank at Jeep corporate and have multiple open cases.
Tl- the contact owns a 2017 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that various speeds the vehicle felt as though there was an abnormal veering to the right and severe vibration. In addition an abonormal noise and jerking when the brake was depressed. The vehicle was taken to turlock Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram located 1600 auto mall dr turlock CA however the failure could not be identified. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 287. Kh.
The rotors wear out but the brake pads are still good it has already wore out 2 sets the brakes grab and stick it jerks you hard right or left. We cant get the company to do anything they act like its our fault. Also it sways really bad in the rear end feels like your riding a old mule hobbity-hoe. Also the transmission has a delay in shift &shifts really hard. The vehicle only has 44,000 miles. We are going to get hurt in this vehicle and can't get any help.
Engine light has been on lighting on and off. I went to mechanic and it's the coolant thermostat. Which might be affecting my intake air temperature. In cold weather engine light goes off and in hot weather it turns on. This causes my Jeep to struggle when I want to spend up on highway. The other annoying problem is that when I'm in idle at a stop light the Jeep shakes so much that I feel it all over car. It also has a very loud noise to it. My other problem is when someone is sitting on the passenger side my volume to my radio goes down. Never fails. I have taken it to the dealership and they tell something completely different. I had my Jeep diagnosed 3 times and it comes out that it's the thermostat. Dealership was telling it was the fuel injector which has nothing to do with coolant issues. I also hear my transmission click hard when changing gears from drive to reverse. It is an automatic transmission. ## #vpic# 1 - check digit (9th position) does not calculate properly #vpic#.
