The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated that while driving under 5 mph, the vehicle shut off and was rear-ended by a pickup truck. The vehicle was towed to an undisclosed location. The low battery reserve message was displayed afterwards on two occasions. The contact stated the failure was like the failure listed in NHTSA action number: pe24018 (electrical system, hybrid propulsion system, engine, engine and engine cooling). The Jeep manufacturer was contacted by phone on several occasions, and the contact spoke with a representative. The local dealer associated the failure with the auxiliary battery. The contact was informed that the auxiliary battery needed to be replaced. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.
The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated that while a family friend was driving on the freeway at approximately 70 mph, the vehicle suddenly stalled. The mobile repair unit was called to the scene and diagnosed the vehicle with fuel pump failure. The contact was informed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was towed to a nearby parking lot. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure and informed the contact that the part was on back order and not currently available for purchase. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed of NHTSA action number: pe24018 (electrical system, hybrid propulsion system, engine, engine and engine cooling); and associated the failure with the campaign. The failure mileage was 77,000.
