1 Body problem

Failure Date: 07/10/2026

Liftgate latch assembly failure: the vehicle experienced an internal electrical short circuit and hardware failure within the power liftgate latch assembly. This defective latch caused a severe parasitic 12v battery drain that repeatedly rendered the vehicle completely dead, leaving it unexpectedly stranded. The hardware failure also triggered a software error loop that locked the power liftgate into an inoperable mode (3-beep lockout). Replacing the liftgate latch assembly successfully resolved the liftgate operation and eliminated the parasitic drain. Uconnect 5 software defects: independent of the physical liftgate issue, the uconnect 5 infotainment system (currently running software build u29. 42, referencing TSB 08-230-24) exhibits significant software bugs and display stability issues. The primary central screen frequently flickers, displays line artifacts, freezes, and repeatedly drops wireless apple carplay connectivity. Additionally, when shifting the vehicle into reverse, the rear backup camera feed fails to load, displaying only a blank black screen instead of the camera view. This disables primary vehicle setting controls, navigation interfaces, and rearward safety visibility while operating the vehicle.

2 Body problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2026

Unknown I have had this Jeep to 3 different dealerships multiple times over the 2 years I have owned it. I am getting my 3rd set of tires put on today. I have put approx 30k on it. It is eating tires. Down to the belt. The vehicle starts to vibrate at 70mph. I just had it aligned in March 2026, they said tires were fine. Vehicle started to vibrate at high speeds again and I took it in. It is so far out of alignment that the belts are showing on the front right tire. I smell burning rubber almost after every drive. This cannot be safe. What is causing is to go out of alignment constantly? I have read multiple threads where this is a known issue and something needs to be done about it, please.

3 Body problem

Failure Date: 11/17/2025

Safety recall for quarter window trim detaching from vehicle. Passenger side visor dropping down with wires disconnect while driving. This recall and visor needs repaired ASAP.

4 Body problem

Failure Date: 03/10/2025

Auto was being towed by my RV. Frame rail extension welds on vehicle failed and vehicle broke loose and struck utility pole destroying it. Could have hit oncoming traffic or innocent bystanders. Vehicle being inspected by Chrysler third party inspectors and state farm insurance. I believe “cold welds” to be responsible in a critical frame part. There are several hundred of these vehicles being towed “four down” and pose a serious public risk. Vehicle is available for inspection at this time. There were no warning lamps.
