Third time while driving the car just stops stays on drive but car is completely dead. Have to put in park and turn off and on car to go. Also have a few times of the car is in a parking spot and then go to reverse stop limit brakes and it won’t let you go when you put it into drive. It does the same thing and it’s stuck until you turn the car off and back on. . The most scary thing is twice it’s been in the middle of the intersection that it’s died today. It happened for the fourth time three times in a row. I have taken my car into Jeep and has been there for over 69 days in total for many different electrical issues. They keep blaming it on the battery these in corrosion. I don’t see how they can get away with this.
I own a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer series iii equipped with the hurricane inline-6 engine. The vehicle has experienced multiple intermittent operating events in which the vehicle displayed a message directing the driver to place the vehicle in park and restart the vehicle. The events have occurred under multiple driving conditions, including: while driving in a parking lot. While operating in slow-moving highway traffic. While exiting a freeway at higher speed. At least two events involved what appeared to be automatic engagement of the electronic parking brake while the vehicle was moving. Following these events, the vehicle required a park-and-restart cycle before normal operation resumed. The issue is intermittent and does not remain active after restarting. Additional symptoms in addition to the shutdown/restart events, the vehicle has exhibited: intermittent harsh or irregular shifting. Noticeable drivetrain jolts during gear changes. Low-speed engine revving followed by awkward shifting. Intermittent vibration/shudder at highway speeds. A recent dashboard warning indicator resembling a collision/crash or safety-system warning that illuminated briefly before disappearing following the restart. Safety concern the most serious concern is that the vehicle has required a park-and-restart cycle while being operated and has appeared to engage the electronic parking brake during operation. Because these events have occurred while the vehicle was moving, including while exiting a freeway, I am concerned about the possibility of loss of vehicle control, unexpected braking, loss of propulsion, or a collision. The vehicle is currently being presented to a Jeep dealership for diagnosis. They stated they think the shaking is bad gas which I disagree because it’s occurred over a few fill ups. Also they said they updated software and were about to release to me. Then when doing a short test drive the fault condition occurred again.
While in drive the entire car turned off and systems shut off. I was in a busy street and it turned back on and all flashing alert lights were on.
I purchased car less than 24 hours ago. Service engine light is on. Dealership ran code and say it wasn't diagnosing a problem. And engine light went off. Drove for 3 hours and then engine light came back on. When I drove the car today, I came to a stop at a stoplight and when I went to go the car would not go. Looked down and my car had been gone into emergency parking. This issue was not disclosed to me when I purchased the car.
We purchased a Jeep Wagoneer l from liberty Jeep in libertyville, IL in may of 2024 and have had issues since. The first issue was on August 25th 2024 when I was driving my vehicle it stopped in the middle of the road and turned off. I had to turn my car back on and thankfully was only a block away and drive it to my driveway with the steering stiff the whole way. After this, the Jeep had to come tow my car on August 26th. There was no warning until after it happened. Dealer had the car for one day and then said to come get it on August 27th it was fixed. My husband went to pick it up and as soon as he drove away the engine light went back on. So he turned around and brought it back in. It was in the shop from the 27th-sept 13 2024. They said it was a catalytic converter that needed to be replaced. Since purchasing the vehicle the trunk had never fully worked. We would always need to mess with it to open or close. On Nov 1 2024 the car was brought in for trunk repair. It was there until Nov 6th 2024. Well they said they fixed it and then in Feb 19 2025 it was brought back in again for the trunk. It stayed in the shop till March 4th 2025 for trunk repair. They said they fixed it again. November 3rd 2025 car was brought back in for stiff steering. When I went to turn the car steering went stiff and I couldn’t turn. I had my daughter and her three friends in the car. On top of that the navigation screen was freezing and the camera’s weren’t working. They said it needed updates with the technology and all was good. On Dec 14th 2025 the trunk wouldn’t close. It would open when I was driving my 3 kids in the car. I had to have my [xxx] son sit in the trunk to hold the trunk closed so I could get us home. Jan 17th 2026 I would be at a stop light and my car would alert me to put the car in park, turn car on and off then put it in drive then it would say abs service. While making a left turn on a green left turn arrow the vehicle for no reason slammed on the brakes without any notice. Causing the car to come to a violent stop. And almost causing us to be rear ended. The violent stop caused both of us injuries to our backs and necks.
At stoplight getting ready to turn left light turns green I proceed going about 15 20 mph in the middle of the intersection middle of the turn the car just slammed on its brakes. I thought I got in a car accident but looked around and there was no other cars around. This was very dangerous and could’ve been catastrophic the car now the next morning was taken to Jeep and they’ve been working on it for two days with no answers. I just bought this car eight days prior to it happening and do not want to get back in this car so I’m trying to do a buyback or lemon. Law are looking for my options for more so you and other people should be notified it’s a dangerous vehicle.
