Front Seat Belt Anchorage problems of the 1998 Jeep Wrangler

Three problems related to front seat belt anchorage have been reported for the 1998 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem

Failure Date: 01/01/1999

Vehicle has been in for repair three occassions for air bag repair and waiting for parts on last repair, however during accident during waiting period vehicle experienced no deployment of air bag and seat belt failure resulting in head injury to driver.

2 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem

Seat belts hang in the way of the door when exiting the vehicle, causing them the be damaged by the door and latching mechanism. This weakens the seat belt and could cause seat belt failure, and subsequently unrestrained passagers in the event of a collision.

3 Front Seat Belt Anchorage problem

The front seat belts buckle side are fastened to the seats not the floor the seats are movable Chrysler told me this is safe I disagree.
