Two problems related to automatic transmission column shift have been reported for the 1999 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

Consumer was shifting into passing gear when shift lever fell off transmission, and then shifted into neutral by itself. Consumer was able to maintain control, and pull over off road. Consumer uncovered bottom of shifter lever, and noticed there was no locking device between shift lever and transmission.
