Three problems related to tank assembly have been reported for the 1999 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When filling fuel tank gas overflows from fill point before pump shuts off. This causes fuel to spray or spill onto the ground or nearby objects. This only does this when fill the tank full.
Filling up the gas on my 1999 Jeep Wrangler tj, during the filling process it will shoot out gas. The tank is not full, its 3/4 and it will shoot out gas. I have gotten it in my face, eyes, good clothes. Its cost my hundreds of dollars to fix what the gas has done.
When opening gas cap, flames came out of tank, unable to determine cause.
