Two problems related to tank assembly have been reported for the 2000 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When adding fuel to the vehicle( fill up time), the auto shut off continually "clicks" itself off and spills fuel. This condition exists on an empty or partially filled tank. I have owned said vehicle since new. Problem didn't begin until adaptation of vapor recovery devices added to the gas station pumps. It now takes approximately 15 minutes of frustration to fill this veh. With the 16 gallons required to fill it. Also results in a spill every single time. I belong to an organization dedicated to this particular make and model of vehicle, and it happens very often.
Low speed rear right impact to vehicle caused it to fall on its side and immediately burst into flames rendering total destruction. Another owner's auto was 't boned' and it also burst into flames.
