general problems of the 2004 Jeep Wrangler

Front tire shimmy so bad that it can cause the car to go out of control. When a bump, pothole or railroad track is driven over that front tires wobble and shimmy so bad that it is difficult to maintain control of the car. There have been new tires, wheels, alignments and steering stabilizers installed but that has not stopped the shimmy. The car has 30,000 miles on it.

2004 Jeep Wrangler x has developed a noticeable shake, or "shimmy" within the last 30 days. This shake is especially violent at around 50 mph over paved road surfaces with unevenness or potholes. At times, this shaking is so severe as to make the vehicle difficult to control. This problem was evaluated by a Jeep dealership. Their finding was that the alignment and steering are in good condition, however all four tires are out of round and need to be replaced. The tires are stock goodyear Wrangler GS-a's and original to the vehicle. They have less than 25,000 miles on them and now appear to be failing at the same time. The dealer service representative reported that this is a condition is not uncommon.

Purchased a used 2004 Jeep Wrangler rubicon with 11000 miles on the odometer, after driving the vehicle for several months I noticed that the odometer seamed to be reading slow, so I had the odometer checked by a state trooper and found out that at 45 mph I was only moving at 40 mph. With further investigation I found that the tires and rims are not the right size for the vehicle. The tires that where on the Jeep when I purchased it are p225/75r15, the manufacturer recommends lt245/75r16, is this vehicle safe to drive? the dealership where I purchased the Jeep from refuses to make it right. Would the 11000 miles on the odometer be right or could it be more?.
