One problem related to mid/rear seats assembly has been reported for the 2006 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below. Please also check out the statistics and reliability analysis of the 2006 Jeep Wrangler based on all problems reported for the 2006 Wrangler.
There are no crash test ratings for the rear occupants in Jeep Wranglers. Passengers are extremely vulnerable in the back seat since there is no protection except the roll bar but if they are rear-ended, the other car could simply hit the back seat directly. There is no neck protection as the seat is too short. When children ride back there, they are basically unprotected. This situation needs to be advertised so people don't assume it is safe to have passengers, especially children in the back of Jeep Wranglers. The back seat is only designed for cargo, not people! that's why they don't have data on rear occupant crash test ratings, because they would fail.
