Seatbelt will not unlatch.
Both front seat-belts locked up with the Jeep parked. They will not unlock to allow you to buckle so that you can drive safely. We took to a Jeep dealership; but they want to charge us over 500 a seat to fix- said it ran out of warranty at 60,000 miles. This makes the vehicle unsafe to drive. I feel that they may be required by you guys to cover seat-belts longer than that. I have a invoice showing that we took the Jeep in and that the seat-belt retractors are stuck, but no way to upload from home.
On the 2007 Jeep Wrangler (lhd) dashboard, the airbag warning light flashes on every other minute with a chime, an indication that there is something malfunctioning or interfering with the vehicle's airbags. This has been a recurring issue and concern for many 2007 Jeep Wrangler (lhd) owners, including myself, and has been shown time and time again to be caused by a faulty clockspring within the vehicle's steering wheel. This faulty clockspring is the culprit for potential airbag failure in the 2007 Jeep Wrangler (lhd) during an accident or premature deployment when simply driving around. Daimler Chrysler has refused to address the safety concern of their faulty clockspring that can cause failure of the vehicle's airbags from properly deploying.
I was slowing while I was approaching a red light. The light turned green and I began my right turn. At this point, the front wheels wobbled and the steering tightened, taking me into the path of an oncoming vehicle (2010 Ford f-150) slowing to a stop for his red light. Upon impact, the seat belt (in use at the time) failed to actuate and the airbags failed to deploy, the driver's seat moved forward, throwing me into the steering wheel and windshield. I sustained a minor head laceration and impact trauma to the right chest. The combine speed of the crash was approximately 25-30 miles per hour. A passenger in the other vehicle was treated and released from the local hospital.
The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Wrangler 4x4. The vehicle was parked and shut off when the horn began to sound. After approximately two minutes, the horn stopped. The failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle had not been inspected or repaired. The contact also noticed that the seat belt light would illuminate and alarm system would sound intermittently. The current and failure mileages were approximately 45,000.
The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Wrangler. While making a left turn, another vehicle collided with the front passenger side of the contact's vehicle. The passenger side air bag failed to deploy. A police report was filed. The contact sustained injuries to the left ankle and the driver sustained bruises. Medical attention was required. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot and then to an auto body shop for repairs. In addition, the passenger seat belt warning indicator randomly chimed and illuminate. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 16v290000 (air bags) and 16v352000 (air bags). The parts needed to do the repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issues. The failure mileage was unknown.
My Jeep Wrangler has had the death wobble, issues with the safety belts not retracting properly [broke my hand] had stalling and suspension problems, I currently have a chip on the bottom underside of the winshield. , when I had the death wobble the dealer told me I had to much weight on the front end from my bumper and winch,[I replaced the stabilizer wobble seems to have went away] they couldn't find a problem with the wobble or seat belts. It was my imagination, what I also had and is documented in the dealer files my accelerator stuck , I was fortunate some one else was driving so I could see his feet and the floor mats nothing was stuck when he stomped on the gas pedal it was just like the cruise control disengaged , my Jeep doesn't have cruise control. The brakes scare me at times, feel like their not there from time to time, I tell who ever drives it not to trust the brakes, this is my last new Chrysler, my hand still hurts. Maybe our goverment should force a recall like they did to Toyota to date my Jeep has only 22. 000 miles on the odometer . Good luck all.
The seat belts in the back when buckling are locked. Making it hard to move around. Since day the I bought the car. Took it to the dealership for repair and they said they found nothing. Only after my warranties were up did they say they would fix the problem if I paid for the labor. The engine has an oil consumption problem also from the first day I bought it, the dealership has covered it up again until the warranty was expired. They found 5 leaky areas in the engine.
2007 Jeep Wrangler sahara stalled unexpectedly on two occasions while driving at low speed. The first time in early March 2007 it was pouring rain and I went through a big puddle which sent water under the vehicle. The car cut off and all the dash light lit up, and the seat belt went off. The car started back up in about 2 seconds by itself. I have assumed the water shorted out for a few seconds and thought nothing else of it. The second time it happened was on June 10, 2007. We were slowing down at stop light and it just cut out. The dash lights came on , the anti-skid light and another red light) I though the car behind us rear ended us because there was a little jerk , rear tires locked. We had to restart to car. It started right up and we continued on. I haven't been to the dealer yet. I was researching the problem on the internet and saw there had been 53 reports of the same thing happening so I figured I should report it also.
