Speed Control Springs problems of the 2013 Jeep Wrangler

Two problems related to speed control springs have been reported for the 2013 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Speed Control Springs problem

Failure Date: 09/13/2020

Airbag lights remain on, cruise control does not work, all controls on the steering wheel do not work. Does not work when driving or setting. I purchased the vehicle with this problem and was told it was a fuse. I found out it is the clock spring.

2 Speed Control Springs problem

Failure Date: 04/28/2019

While driving with cruise control engaged on the highway at roughly 80mph, the cruise control kicks off. Check engine light displays and the esc light comes on. Vehicle loses power and decelerates on its own. Have to floor the gas pedal to keep the vehicle moving. Experiences momentary bursts of speed but then speed declines again although the gas pedal is still pressed to the floor. I believe this is attributed to the clockspring assembly but my vehicle was not included in the recall. Can my VIN be added so I can get this issue resolved?.
