Three problems related to warning light on have been reported for the 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Air bag warning light came on in motion. Had to replace clockspring again. Previously replaced under 2016 recall. Since no current recall, I had to pay for new clockspring and labor myself, totaling $593. 67.
Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that he received a recall letter NHTSA campaign number 19v018000(air bags). The contact called Chrysler hotline to schedule an appoint to have the air bag serviced. The contact took the vehicle to riverside Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram 1601 us-70, new bern, nc 28560 (252) 633-4411 where the vehicle was serviced for the recall. The contact stated that after the recall remedy was performed, the air bag warning light illuminated. The contact returned the vehicle back to the dealer where he was informed that a defective plug caused the light to illuminate. Upon his second return home, the air bag warning light appeared yet again. The contact called the dealer back to make an appointment to have the vehicle repaired again and requested a loaner vehicle. The dealer denied his request a loaner. The manufacturer was notified of the matter and informed him that they would escalate the matter and offer assistance to provide a loaner vehicle for the contact. The contact was then informed by the manufacturer that due to the mileage on his vehicle, they could not provide him a loaner vehicle. The vehicle had not been repaired for the air bag warning light. While traveling approximately 65 mph on a controlled access highway, my wife observed the airbag warning light illuminate, within seconds, the driver airbag deployed. Luckily, she was able to maintain control of the vehicle. Unknown if this airbag was manufactured by takata.
