Front Suspension Control Arm problems of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler

Two problems related to front suspension control arm have been reported for the 2018 Jeep Wrangler. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Suspension Control Arm problem

Failure Date: 01/15/2020

Rear lower control arm mount/ track bar mount failed. Appeared to have only half of the mount welded in a manufacturing defect. Quality control issue.

2 Front Suspension Control Arm problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2018

Tl the contact owns a 2018 Jeep Wrangler. While driving between 50-75 mph, the front end of the vehicle occasionally experienced the "death wobble". After driving over a bump in the road, the front end of the vehicle would violently wobble and shake. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (robert loehr Jeep, 567 e. Main st. Cartersville, GA) where it was diagnosed that the control arm was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 9,000.
