The contact stated that while driving at 65 mph, the front, passenger side tire experienced a complete blowout without incident or warning. The contact managed to pull off to the shoulder of the highway and replace the faulty tire with a spare tire. The tire was taken to an independent mechanic where upon inspection, the mechanic discovered an abnormal tear in the tire along the tire wall. The mechanic stated that the tire was likely a defective tire which had cause the blowout failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The tire had yet to be repaired.
