Wheel problem #1

I was driving on the interstate and when I went over a little bump my truck started to shake like it was going to loose control. I read up on this and people who own Jeeps refer to it as the death waddle is there a recall on this issue.

Wheel problem #2

While driving the last couple days, our 2019 Jeep Wrangler rubicon unlimited started the “death wobble”, an uncontrollable violent shaking from left to right. Occurred three days in a row, took vehicle to Jeep dealership to ensure extended warranty coverage.

Wheel problem #3

Took Jeep to dealership it had 36,000 miles they worked on it for 40,000miles service and to ck wobble on Jeep mechanic took Jeep for test drive it exploded luckily he new how to escape I don’t know what the cause of it was insurance are taking care of it.

Wheel problem #4

Death wobble same as my 2008 Wrangler that I traded in for a newer model and same problem! someone will die, it's terrible!!! it happened 3 times in 1 day. I can't take it on the expressway at all.

Wheel problem #5

When driving down the interstate my 2019 Jeep hit a small bump in the road. Front end started shaking violently. At first I thought I had blown a tire but tire pressure warning did not show on dashboard. I let off the gas and it ebbed till gone. I was going 70 miles an hour when it started. It was intermittent through out the day and started each day after.

Wheel problem #6

2019 Jeep Wrangler. Consumer stated that while driving on the interstate their vehicle began to shake violently.

Wheel problem #7

The steering has become very loose, causing the vehicle to feel as though it were drifting with every bump. Entering into a parking lot, or going over speed bumps cause the vehicle to feel as though you are jerking the steering wheel back & forth, with the whole body of the vehicle rocking. Changing lanes requires the upmost care when merging, so as not to cause too much movement, otherwise the entire vehicle rocks back & forth as though you were off-roading on extremely uneven turf. God forbid you attempt to avoid hitting something that jumps in front of you car; that is bound to cause the car to flip! doesnt matter if you're traveling 5mph or 65 mph, the drifting is obvious & pretty scary.

Wheel problem #8

The steering is loose and the vehicle drifts while driving. We cannot maintain straight driving without continuous movement of the steering wheel. The vehicle feels unsafe at all speeds. This vehicle is probably maintained with routine tire rotation. Front passenger tire has had excessive wear. All wheels and tires have been changed with no result. Chris franco.

Wheel problem #9

When driving 70 miles an hour and hit a bridge seam which intersect the highway at 45 degree angle the car goes into a violent death wobble. We have had 2 Jeep service departments look at the issue stating nothing is wrong with the car. We are still experiencing this death wobble.

Wheel problem #10

As I was driving on the highway at about 75+ mph, I passed over some uneven pavement and my steering and chassis began shaking for about 5-10 seconds. When I slowed down, it stopped; however, it felt like the steering wheel was going to come off and the tires were going to fly off of my car.

Wheel problem #11

When going over 40mph the truck shakes uncontrollably, with only little bumps in the road. This is causing issues for me and it's very unsafe. Makes me not want to even drive. The vehicle is in motion when it happens. Feels like the wheel is going to come off. Scared.

Wheel problem #12

As I am driving at a normal speed all of a sudden my 2019 Jeep Wrangler will begin to shudder back and forth fiercely. The first time it happened on January 4, I thought I had a loose air flat tire. I stopped in the breakdown lane, got out and checked but there was nothing wrong. When I began driving again, the car drove fine. The next morning on January 5, the car did the same thing in almost the same are where ri 95 cuts off to ri295. The steering wheel started shaking for a good 50-100 feet before it stopped. I was alone both times. The 3rd time, I was taking my 29 year old daughter to the doctors in wakefield, ri and traveling on rt 1. All of a sudden the vehicle started shaking, it really scared my daughter who insisted we drive right to the dealership after her appointment. After her appointment and on the way to the dealership, it happened one more time. I walked into the dealership at paul bailey's in north kingstown. This is where I always go for my service on all my Jeeps. They were pleasant was always and I told them in had what I thought was the death rattle and he corrected me and said did I mean the death wobble? I made an appointment to go back January 18 to have them look at my car. I am concerned that this may be happening with all cars and may cause an accident. I only have 18000 miles on the car, it is still under warranty.

Wheel problem #13

I was driving down the highway going 50mph and the front end started vigorously shaking so much that I had to pull over and stop. It shook me to the point that I was dizzy. I was told that it was called the death rattle, however when I took it the the dealership to get it fixed I was told that it is no longer called that. They didn't know that it was happening on the 2019 Wrangler sport.

Wheel problem #14

While driving on the while driving on the highway at about 60 mph and taking a slight left or right curve we hit an expansion joint on the bridge. The front wheels started shaking uncontrollably until I came to a full stop on the side of the road. Very dangerous safety concern, especially on a car that has not been off-road and with less than 18000 miles and no modifications. This issue is very well documented all over the internet.

Wheel problem #15

Many times, my Jeep is doing unsafe wobble like the wheels are going to come off. Going at speeds of 55-65 . Very hard to handle and keep on road. Took to dealership and they said there were no recalls. Couldn't find anything wrong. I have a handicapped daughter and this is a huge safety issue. It would happen also when going over railroad tracks or simply down the highway.

Wheel problem #16

On 11/7/20 while driving from harlingen,TX to houston,TX at an average speed of 65mph the Jeep would shake uncontrollably and very aggressively causing me to reduce speed and switch lanes hitting the brakes only made it worse. In October 219 I experienced the same death wobble driving 65mph on the highway when going over the overpass. The dealer said normal and would replace the damper to help but normal. This is not normal and is unsafe especially when driving with children in the vehicle at high rate of speed.

Wheel problem #17

While driving the middle lane on the highway doing 70 mph I drove over an overpass with a slight depression and my steering wheel started to violently shake so much so that I had difficulty moving to the right lane and then onto the emergency shoulder, this could have caused a serious accident. The dealer replaced the steering dampener the second time to correct this problem. This was the second time that this had happened, the first time was about 14 months earlier when the dealer replaced the steering dampener for the first time. To date I am on my third steering dampener in less than two years. Please investigate this design disaster that is an extreme hazard to all the safe drivers on our highways including me. Thank you.

Wheel problem #18

At highway speeds when going over approach to bridge ,pothole ,even road reflectors Jeep Wranglers2 doors can go into a violent shaking of steering wheel and front tires and suspension. The dealers call it the death wobble. If you hit your brakes its even worse. You must just hang on and release your gas pedal till it finally comes under control. This wold be especialy dangerous during rain or worse ice or snow . Jeep should be able to add a stabilizer or something to the suspension to control this condition. If they can name it they should be able to fix it.

Wheel problem #19

Ongoing isue with death wobble brought back to the dealer for a third time and they changed out the steering dampener assuring me that this would solve the issue while driving at 50mph on rte 290 auburn MA vehicle hit a bump on the highway and started the whole Jeep shaking and causing an unsafe condition.

Wheel problem #20

After going to dealership and getting death wobble fixed vehicle by removing and reinstalling the steering dampener the correct way and exhibited the same issue and once again almost caused an accident vehicle travelling at 50 mph on highway 290 holy cross corner and vehicle started to shake and wobble uncontrollably had to slow down to 30mph to make the problem go away called dealership and they stated that they would need to order a new steering dampener.

Wheel problem #21

While driving at highway speed 50mph on rte 290 at college square corner vehicle felt like wheels were going to fall off lot of shaking and almost lost control very dangerous slowed down to 30mph and vibrations subsided this has happend once before on same day Jeep Wrangler has 500 miles on it dealer "putnam Jeep" has been called and will be bringing Jeep into shop ASAP.

Wheel problem #22

Uncontrollable shaking when hitting a bump at highway speeds on highway.

Wheel problem #23

I am experiencing the death wobble. It happened once a few weeks ago and then nearly five times in a 180 mile drive. Each time nearly caused and accident and the potential complete loss of control. This occurred at seven speeds ranging from 55 to 75 and when hitting small road imperfections.

Wheel problem #24

I was driving on the highway with the speed about 63 mile/hr, and suddenly my front tirer, and my steering wheel was violently shaking. I had to slow it down, and pulled over. I thought I got flat tire or something. I googled, and find out a lot people have this problem also. It's called "dead wobble".

Wheel problem #25

Tl-the contact owns a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while driving 55 mph the vehicle started to shake excessively without warning. The contact continued to drive the vehicle to his residence. The contact stated when he then tried to restart the vehicle two days after the vehicle would not turn. The vehicle was towed bayside Chrysler Jeep Dodge(21219 northern blvd, bayside, NY 11361) where they diagnosed the vehicle with an rear axle issue and electrical power steering issue. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 15000. Lj.

Wheel problem #26

When driving on the highway and we hit a bump or any deformity on the road the Jeep would start to wobble uncontrollably it started small at first but it seems to be getting worst and we only had the Jeep for 6 months my wife is really scare.

Wheel problem #27

My vehicle has been experiencing vibration since the very day I took purchase of the Jeep. The vehicle has a clinging noise during stop and then acceleration. It sound like a worn out piston issue.

Wheel problem #28

After about 2700 miles on the odometer our stock Jeep Wrangler unlimited rubicon with no aftermarket parts started to have very poor steering, and was hard to keep in our lane. It also started to have the steering wheel shake back and forth fast when hitting an expansion join in the road or a bridge. The Jeep is now difficult to keep in our lane, and is very difficult to drive on narrow, windy or roads with construction. We were almost in multiple accidents once this started on a road trip. This issue gets worse and worse with speed. You can grab the tie rods ends and track bar and other steering components and they all now have like 1/8 in of play at each end. You can easily shake them up and down / back and forth. This was not an issue for the first 2500 or so miles. This is a very dangerous situation as at times you have to slow down very fast due to the steering wheel shaking. Also, it veers from side to side due to the loose steering where you can move the steering wheel over 1 1/2 inches without the tires moving at all. I have videos of all these issues occurring, and you can also see the steering components moving when the steering wheel is turned before the play is out and the wheels move. We are now scared to drive our vehicle due to our safety and the safety of others on the road.

Wheel problem #29

In December, on two different occasions, I experienced what I have come to find out is known as the death wobble in my new Wrangler jl. After going over a series of small bumps on a highway at 65-70mph, my Jeep went into a violent shaking episode. I actually thought one of the wheels was coming off. The dealership said that this could be repaired by replacing the stabilizer bar with a heavier duty one. They did the repair. On Friday of last week, I had 6 episodes of the death wobble in one day. The dealer is taking my Jeep back in tomorrow to look at it again. This might be the scariest thing I have experienced in my 30+ years of driving.
