Clutch blew two holes through my transmission. I was driving home from skiing. Early that morning an error code came on stating my clutch was getting too hot. I was in stop and go traffic for like 15 min when it happened. I mostly kept my car in neutral and only used the clutch when I needed to move forward more than my car could roll on its own. Driving home from the mountain I was on the freeway when an emblem turned on with a sterling wheel and and exclamation point. Right soon after that as I was getting off the freeway I downshifted to 3rd gear and my car shot up to 5 rpm’s so I shifted to 4th gear and my car shot up to 5 rpm’s so I shifted to 5th gear and my car shot up to 5 rpm’s so I shifted to 6th gear and my car shot up to 5 rpm’s and then I head a loud explosion and my car and I hurried and pulled over. I had two other cars pull over because they saw my car of fire. They yelled at me to get out of my car and then quickly checked everything and found the fire had put itself out. I had my 6 year old nephew in the car and I was worried about his safety if the car was on fire but also the safety of having his outside of the car on a major highway. We determined the car wasn’t at a full engulfed in flames risk so I kept him in the car. I then towed my car to the dealership who misdiagnosed it so I towed it to a clutch shop when showed me there were actually two holes through my transmission. My warranty wouldn’t cover it and the recall refused it because they had “don’t the recall” aka looked at it and did a software update and said that’s all the were required to do. I ended up finding a used transmission and was able to get that installed as well as a clutch. I was out of a car for 6 weeks and the emotional stress of being jerked around and not being helped when it’s clear with the recalls this is a huge issue that is getting ignored. The gm of the dealership is now involved and trying to help me get this solved.
I have had both w12 & y07 recalls done and didn't have any problems with my clutch before then, now my clutch is making a strange noise and slipping. A software update to degrade power to my engine doesn't fix a clutch problem. Recalls are suppose to fix problems, not create more.
We started experiencing a problem with our clutch on our manual transmission 2019 Jeep Wrangler sport in December 2022. It felt like it would slip out of gear on its own, sounded like when someone first learns how to drive a manual and grinds the clutch. The dealer couldn't figure it out. Kept getting worse. Multiple trips back to the dealer. Mind you at the time this car was 3 1/2 years old and only had about 40,000 miles. Finally we found out there was a recall in February 2023, and the dealer told us there were no parts or no solution yet. This car is my wife's daily driver. I called the dealer back a couple months later, no update yet, Jeep "was working on it", hoped remedy would be available by end of June. Kept calling back every month or two, same story. I drove the car for the first time in a while in July and realized it was not safe to drive. Constantly slipping out of gear, couldn't get it going fast enough. Decided to read the recall again and realized it said it was a fire hazard. My dealer called and was told still no remedy, now they tell him hopefully end of q3, so I asked the service manager to please get me into a loaner on Jeep. They did this. This is almost 2 months later, still no remedy. It's fantastic how Jeep can spend millions on fancy advertisements with derek jeter, yet because the people who own clutch vehicles are such a small percentage it seems our safety is not a priority. I can't believe a major car manufacturer has taken over 7 months knowing there is a safety issue and still no remedy.
While in the middle of an intersection vehicle locked up in park, check engine light came on,had to be towed to dealer ship, code given was pid95-00-tcm clutch failure-cause undetermined, they charged $172. 58, even though I have a mopar extended warranty it was not covered.
While driving my vehicle on a major highway several lights came on and I was notified that the antilock break system had been disengaged while driving. I was terrified driving this vehicle down a major highway but manage to make it home after pulling over several times when the vehicle seamed loose control. Once the vehicle was started the next day the following malfunction were emailed to me. The vehicle would not turn off for several hours, windshield wipers were running while in the off position, and the screen indicated that the vehicle was a rubicon, despite it being a sahara. It was incredibly alarming not being able to turn this vehicle off after several attempts. The vehicle eventually turned off but upon restarting the vehicle the malfunctions would occur in addition to not being able to shift gears. 2) powertrain malfunction indicator light electronic throttle control (1) brakes & suspension antilock brake system (1) safety air bags.

Continued "death wobble" after suggested repair by dealership.
I experienced the Jeep death wobble on 5 occasions. All five happened at 60 mph or above. The car would suddenly shake violently and felt like it was falling apart. I feared I couldn't steer it, which I had a hard time doing, until I calmed down and started braking. When I got to a slower speed it went back to normal. The front track bar was replaced and an alignment was needed again at 12,000 miles. I first noticed the car going out of alignment before this all happened, then the wobble followed at higher speeds. It was a very scary experience all five times. I read about it and found that the last few times when I hit a small bump it would activate the wobble until I slowed down. This is very upsetting for me as my daughter also drives the car and I feel it is now unsafe since the car is out of alignment once again after 3 months. Jeep needs to address this ASAP. The car has 13,000 miles and is a 2019.
Back in July 2022, I went to turn on my Wrangler and the light show began. Took it to the dealership where they identified over 50 error codes. Some of the main ones I was able to see in the instrument cluster were "service shifter", "service antilock break system", "service 4wd", "traction control failure" and "emergency break" light on when e-break was not engaged. Four (4) months later and over 10 back and forth visits to the dealership, the problem still persists after being told "we test drove it 50+ miles and we see no problem". They have since replaced three (3) body control modules. Why am I writing this report? because in the situation when those warning lamps turn on and I am actively driving the vehicle, I've experienced the following concerns: 1. ) stopped at a stop light and the engine shut off. Then it takes a few frantic tries to turn the vehicle back on - this happened twice. 2. ) drove on the highway when the gears stopped shifting causing the engine to rev incredibly fast - this happened once. 3. ) increased resistance from steering wheel while steering while on highway speeds. 4. ) gear shifter locks - happens often, but typically only when I initially turn on the vehicle; doesn't allow to move the shifter out of park. As you'll see by my answers on the form, my vehicle has low miles and is kept in prestine condition.
Service axle locker system warning light and message warning have been coming in for over a year. I've taken the vehicle for service and dealer stated no trouble found. After 4 wheeling the axle lockers do not disengage properly and require me to drive for miles before the axle lock light indicator goes away. I've been getting the warning light more frequently when I drive and the warning message service axle locker system displays. I've also had rear differential noise/clunking when moving from park to reverse or drive. Dealer stated that is normal.
This issue has been going on for over a year now. Vehicle shakes violently when leaving uneven surfaces such as coming off of a bridge on the highway. You have to come to a complete stop to get it to stop shaking. This is very dangerous when on a highway. Vehicle has been inspected by local dealership and parts have been ordered but continue to be on backorder. The dealership states that they have seen other Jeeps with this issue. I personally know people who have also experienced this, and not all have the same year as my Jeep.
When on the highway going over 55 mph and hitting a bump the steering wheel and entire vehicle begins to move rapidly and violently from side to side. This causes your vehicle to feel like it's losing control. The only way to stop this from continuing is to slow the vehicle down significantly. This presents a significant danger of losing control because of the shaking or being hit from behind on the highway due to slowing down significantly. The dealer has attempted to repair this defect twice within the last 2 months by replacing the steering damper and it is still occurring. No warning messages are illuminated when this occurs.
Severe front in wobble. Took 3 visits to get it fixed. Bubbling paint, was in the shop 5 weeks for repaint. Loud whining noise in the drive train, still waiting on dealership to address, hopefully I won't get stranded in the mean time.
The entire clutch system failed and the vehicle passenger compartment filled with smoke. It was difficult to breath and burned my eyes I had to pull over immediately. I had the the vehicle towed to the dealer, upon arrival the dealer indicated that there was a safety recall that was limited to “computer components” and involved a software fix. They then proceed to tell me that the the entire clutch system had failed and they could not tell if it was my driving or the recall parts that had impacted. They then proceed to hand me a $2,000+ repair bill, this is a top of the line vehicle less than three 4 years old with no more than 43k miles. I reached out to Jeep/mopar/fca/stallantis whatever they are going by today, and was referred back to the dealer without any resolution.

After switching to four wheel drive my Jeep indicates that the axle locker needs service. I only used the lockers on it once back in 2019 during September. I was on gravel road and the light came on. Picture below is not mine but that is the error that occurs. Also seems like my lockers at engaged at all times.

The check engine light came on one evening. The next morning during driving the dashboard flashed a "service shifter" warning. Then a series of other warnings all light up. The dashboard flashed like it was malfunctioning. The Jeep lost power steering and stuck in the current gear I was in. The vehicle had to be towed to the dealership. They have had it now for four days. And, they have no idea what's wrong with it.
Repeated service axle locker system warnings. Front axle replaced. New dtcm and wire installed.
Vehicle under recall since January. Received email in April that part was available. Called dealer who said not available. Went again today to dealer who says part is not available. Do not want to drive a vehicle that could catch fire with our child in it!.

Service axle locker system light appears on dashboard. If the axle locker engages accidentally in the wrong conditions, it could cause a crash. The vehicle has been taken to the dealer three times. This is the 3rd visit to the dealer. The first time they said they would change the axle, but then it was on backorder so they flushed the differential and cleaned some metal parts they said was fouling the sensor. I drove it away and they same problem occurred. The second visit they changed a sensor. Now the problem is back and I'm waiting to hear their "solution".
Stopped at a stop sign, the "d" insignia on the shifter to transmission started flashing, I removed my foot from the brake, the vehicle would not move tried to accelerate, the vehicle would not move. Had to shift the vehicle from drive to neutral and then back to drive, in order for vehicle to engage the transmission then accelerated and the vehicle moved if I would have been in a highway situation, and braked then tried to move this may have caused a rear-end crash. This vehicle is dangerous with the other recalls I have had on this very vehcle!.
While driving up a mountain road requiring up and down shifting the clutch over heated. It was not the brakes since we I was climbing.
Vehicle shut off while driving with no warning. Would not restart. Many warning lights. Was traveling in the passing lane moving at about 70mph when vehicle turned off. All exterior lighting went out at night. And I had to coast and wait for a tow on the side of the road.
The car have multiple defective parts including steering column control module, console shift module. The car have a hard time shifting in to appropriate gear. Those defective parts cause abs to fail. Wheels keep getting locked when breaking, leads to increased breaking distance.
My vehicle has been experiencing vibration since the very day I took purchase of the Jeep. The vehicle has a clinging noise during stop and then acceleration. It sound like a worn out piston issue.
While driving to work had problems with engine revving trying to shift there was a loud bang, pulled off the road, started seeing smoke come from the vehicle then was engulfed in flames and burned completely up. There is a complaint with fca case number 58132542 the vehicle was traveling at 40 mph on 295 parkway when the problem started. I did not take any pictures there is a police report if needed. The vehicle had only been in my position sense 26 Jan 2019 with only 1000 miles on it when it had a catastrophic failure that resulted Jeep totally burning up.
