Three active recalls on this vehicle currently and have not had the vehicle a full calendar year yet. Two pertaining to fire-risk recall which can result in increased risk of occupant injury and injury to persons outside vehicle. The recall instructions state there is an issue with battery and engine which can cause fire. The recall instructions state to not charge the vehicle nor park in garage and to park it outside away from buildings due to risk of thermal runway. The engine may contact materials which can also cause fire. Because of this, the vehicle is not safe to drive. My dealership (Jeep, Dodge, ram, Chrysler in englewood cliffs, new jersey) as well as Jeep has refused to provide a loaner vehicle or transportation assistance free of charge. They informed me I must pay out of pocket for a rental while the recall remedy is being developed causing me to pay for 2 vehicles at the same. There is currently no remedy for this issue and no timeframe of when it will be available. Stellantis has not provided any support despite the safety hazard and the fact that I cannot safely use this vehicle. This leaves me without transportation during a federally mandated safety recall involving a fire risk. I am requesting NHTSA review this issue and contact the involved parties to ensure proper handling of the recall and consumer safety. Thank you,.
The steering wheel shakes a high speeds over 70 on highways . I’ve had it in and have had the steering wheel replaced . Another time the dealer thought it was the “death wobble” then said they didn’t find anything wrong but said it was a problem with the battery making the car heavy . This problem was not occurring previously and I drive this car every day. It does not feel right or normal . I’ve had it in over 3 times and they have not been able to find or duplicate an issue . There is a death wobble issue with Jeep but I cannot get the dealership to help with the problem .
Driving car stopped said to put in park, engine light comes on. Restart start driving put into park again . . Whilst on freeway! just stopped.
When I first got it, I would get on the highway and once I hit 80mph it would do a wobble. I was told by the dealership it was "normal" and they couldn't replicate it. Then it got worse, anytime I hit 60mph on the hwy it wobbles.
Since I leased the car, I have taken it to the dealers 4 different times for the steering wheel shaking out of control the first time the "fixed" it but turned me away the 2nd and 3rd time. Each time I requested the left mid speaker to be checked and replaced but they refused to do anything about it until my last oil change 2 months ago. Last year around November they fixed and oil leak, but the cat never leaked oil form the bottom. The Jeep was burning oil not leaking oil and they never did a consumption test. I took it in because the oil levels were low. However, the speaker is still broken, and I did not return the Jeep because they would not give me a loaner car for the service even though it's under warranty. In addition, right front and back tires blew out and when I had the Jeep towed to the dealership for repairs, I noticed that the back tank next to the muffler was leaking. While the Jeep was at the dealership waiting to be serviced, it was vandalized with the rear left window busted out and pain job damaged. My personal registration and insurance information among other things was taken as well. It's been 3 and a half weeks, and they are jerking me around about the repairs. Yesterday, I talked to the service manager (jose & rob) they were very condescending about having the repairs done. Upon talking to them I was told that the found and fixed another 'oil leak" but never did a consumption test. I didn't notice the oil being low when I turned in the Jeep on 4/14/25, so they assumed that the leak that I mention was coming from the engine and not the rear and found another leak but had not checked the rear for the leak that I requested them to check. In addition, they claimed that they fixed the oil "leak" without doing a consumption test. I turned the Jeep in on 4/14/25 and the vandalism happened on 4/24/25. Fyi this site won't allow me to download the videos of the Jeep doing the "death wabble (shake)". Please email me so I can forward that to you.
My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is currently subject to an active fire-risk battery recall with instructions to “park outside” and “do not charge. ” there is no remedy available for my VIN at this time. The manufacturer states there is a risk of the high-voltage battery catching fire. In addition to the recall, the vehicle has exhibited violent, unsafe jolting movements during acceleration and normal driving, which is consistent with high-voltage battery or hybrid drivetrain malfunction. These unexpected surges and jolts make the vehicle feel unstable and dangerous to operate for me and my family of four. Because of the fire risk and these sudden jolts, I do not feel safe driving this vehicle. I have attempted multiple times to work with Jeep customer care to initiate a safety recall compensation case, but stellantis/Jeep has repeatedly refused to open a case and continues redirecting me between departments. On 11/17 at approximately 3:20 pm, a customer care agent named louie transferred me to a local dealership when I requested a supervisor, even though the dealership confirmed they cannot initiate compensation or buyback requests. Jeep customer care has failed open a recall compensation case escalate the safety concerns address the violent jolting behavior provide written communication follow proper recall procedures at this time, I have a vehicle that is unsafe to drive, unsafe to charge, and exhibiting dangerous mechanical behavior with no available repair. I am requesting NHTSA assistance to compel stellantis/Jeep to follow recall safety protocols and provide a remedy, compensation, or replacement for this unresolved safety defect.
