Adaptive Cruise Control problems of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler

In June 2026 the 2024 Jeep Wrangler sahara 4xe power shut down along with service engine light in two seperate instances while my son was driving at highway speed. I made the dealership aware and had the vehichle checked out. They said nothing wrong with vehichle. On July 25 2026 I was driving vehichle on highway and cruise control came on by itself along with service engine light. I had no power to accelerate. I had to pull over and shut car down before proceeding. I brought the vehichle to paul bailey dealership and they grounded the car on 8/7/2026 when stellantis agreed to pay for a rental car.

The incident happened between October 10 and 13, 2025. Updating the Jeep uconnect and software. It was a long weekend for me, so I decided to take my family, my wife, and two kids to the sand dunes at pismo beach. Luckily, I tried to avoid updating on Friday night because of a facebook post from other Jeep Wrangler owners from 2024. A long weekend of supposed fun and activities turned into a nightmare Sunday afternoon when it updated over the air through uconnect. Every 7 to 10 minutes of driving, the Jeep began to stall. It's okay now that it's October 13, 2025, Monday, but a long weekend of fun turned into a scary and nerve-racking situation, so I had to use another car to move on and do errands.

The car got a uconnect update tonight. 30 minutes later, when driving the car for the first time since the update, the car shut off while in drive going 30mph. The car loses power, tells you to shift to park. Turning the car off and on enabled it to drive for a while longer, but the same thing happened again. The check engine light is on, and it's giving a number of code errors around the hybrid controller.

I have had multiple issues with this vehicle including • a failed sensor resulted in the loss of traction control, four-wheel drive, and abs brakes, making the vehicle unsafe to operate. • a fuel sensor malfunction caused gasoline to backflow and spill during refueling. • on a separate occasion, the vehicle shut off completely while driving, leaving me without control of the vehicle. There are now 2 recalls on the vehicle. 1 for the vehicle randomly turning off and the other for potential to catch fire. Neither of which the dealership or stellantis has issued a fix and are saying it’s “safe to drive”, however I failed my inspection a few months due to a torn windshield wiper because that is a safety risk.
