The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving 40 mph, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact was able to turn onto a side street and pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that there was a catastrophic failure of the fuel pump resulting in the fuel lines being contaminated with metal shavings. The contact stated that a fuel injector cleaning service was completed approximately one week prior to the failure. The dealer informed the contact that the entire fuel system needed to be replaced, and the engine needed to be flushed. The contact was provided an estimate for the repairs. The vehicle was in the process of being repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 67,000.
