Airbag light on, took it to get it check and I was told it was the battery. Got a new battery light still on. The light is on at all times.

Takata recall. The "airbag light" in my dash has been on for a while. After consulting with my mechanich his believes it is a airbag problem that my computer keeps recording. My car has no active recalls on it but my local dealer in NJ tells me that the airbag has problems in manny of these cars.

Air bag light has to be continually reset, parts had to be replaced some spring. Light now is back on had it in again and now saying airbag is defective and needs to be replaced.

My air bag light came on 4/19/2016 and have been on since then. I only had my car one month I have never been in an accident nor have my car every been in an impact I had it look at by a merchanic and he said that's dangerous and can pop out at any time so I should have it fix as soon as possible. This car should be on the recall list!!!.

On March 20th I when I tern on my kia Amanti 2005 I saw the air bag light got on. I never had any accident on my car. Please solve this issue s soon as posible.

Air bag light is lit without an accident or mishap. I see others on line are having this same issue and have taken it to dealer and spent $175 cost to find out the airbags work fine.

Air bag lights been on n I've called kia several x nothing resolved then I get into a accident was t boned and no air bags deployed which is huge safety issue. Please fix with a recall.

Since purchasing my 2005 kia Amanti air bag light has been on; the vehicle has never experienced an impact which would cause the airbags to deploy neither have any of the airbag components ever been tampered with. The throttle control of the vehicle is extremely sporadic and often causes hesitation, lurching, no acceleration, and even loss of all power. I have had the dealership update the ecm and the tps replace but the problem still persisted. I noticed the throttle body plate was extremely difficult to actuate so I then purchased another throttle body and replaced my older one. Everything functioned as should be expected up until approx. 3 months ago the issues started back up again. I noticed the throttle body motor had started to become increasingly hot to the touch indicating an excessive amount of resistance within the motor circuit. Being that the problem is recurring, I feel the issue is located either within the engine wiring harness or the engine control module and it, as well as the ruined throttle body motor, need replaced at the cost of the Kia Motor company. The issue can, and has, caused numerous accidents, stalling in heavy traffic as well as lurching and speeding away of vehicles. A major safety issue is present and needs to be addressed.

My driver side airbag light came on one day for no reason and continues to stay on constantly. They want me to pay between $800 and $1600 to have it fixed. This airbag light is the same defect that the optimas and rondos are having. It is unsafe for me to drive my car. They need to replace it free of charge. It should be covered by the same recall for other vehicles. It is a safety issue. Please have the Amantis added to the recall.

Air bag light will not go off. Dealer cannot find any reason why. Air bag is fine, must be a bad sensor somewhere, but they cannot find it.

The manufacturer also stated the passenger should sit in the back of the vehicle if the contact feels it's unsafe to ride in the front passenger seat. Two years later when we purchase these car, the air bag light show. And it never when off since then. Took to the mechanic and said its very common to have these kind of problem for kias. He could not fix it had no tools enough to do it. And I had no money enough to fix they want to refer to the dealer, and dealers wants more that a 1,000 to do it.

I purchased my 2004 kia Amanti car from a used car dealer on June 16, 2005. We purchased the extended 100,000 mile warranty as well. Approximately eight days after the purchase I began having trouble with the air bag light being illuminated and not going off. I took my car back to the car dealer on June 24, 2005 and June 27, 2005 for diagnostics. The car dealer could not service the car because they were not an authorized dealer. They sent the car to a sister car sales dealer who in turn took the car to an authorized kia dealer. The kia service dealer told me that when the light stayed on the airbag safety feature was disabled. On July 7, 2005, September 8, 2005, October 17, 2005 and November 14, 2005 the car was taken to a kia dealer to fix the problem. Each time the dealer has reported the problem as being fixed but the air bag light keeps coming back on and stays on which in turn disables the air bag safety features. In mid- January, 2006, the air bag light has again become illuminated and will not go off. The dealer has asked me to bring the car back in for repair on February 21, 2006 to have this problem corrected. To date, the dealer has been unable to remedy the problem. Thus far, the dealership has attempted to repair this problem five times and the car has been in the shop for twenty-seven days. The car is at the kia dealer again being repaired. This problem substantially impairs the safety, the use and the value of my car.
