Administration on 6/26/20 a dealership made a tenative sale on a usec 2005 vehicle intentionally decieving potential buyer. Vehicle was unsafe to drive as it made misfire and the fluids in vehicle were all missing from each tank. The salesman denied me the right to test drive or opportunity to replenish missing fluids,advising vehicle is as-is. I explained I drove 60 miles one way and was not told the vehicle was as -is or in such terrible condition. Manager refused to assist me or speak with me as I would complain. The salesman said,"take it or leave it"!!! I did not purchase the vehicle but it must be listed as unsafe in a nationwide alert as left driver side impact on doors from bumper to front passenger door, left side fender hanging off , vehicle shaking bad, computer hardware and caps missing on engine. 3 different times the vehicle was stationary with the engine on and the a/c was on. Then I would put it in drive and after about 1-15 minutes of driving, the car lost power, and when you pressed the accelerator, the engine would not rev, the car kept on slowing to a full stop. Put the transmission in park, let engine run for a few minutes, then the car would drive forward. The first time it did this, June 10 2016, we had to call a tow truck and take it to nalley kia in lithonia, GA. They fixed it, or so we thought. The 2nd time it happened, July 5, 2016, my husband was waiting for my son, while he was parked, he had the a/c running. When he put the car in drive, it drove/moved for 5-6 minutes and lost power while they were driving, pulled it over, waited about 10 minutes, then it drove again. Third time, 9/9/16, we were at the grocery store, I waited in car, with the a/c running, when hubby got into the car, we drove for about 500 feet, the car lost power, waited a few minutes, then drove it for about another 200 feet. Pulled into a parking lot, turned off car for 10-15 minutes, started it and it drove home with no problems. We tested it the next day and ran the car engine, in our driveway, for 20 min without the a/c on, I drove it and had no loss of power. This is scary, there could've of been accidents.

Left and right outside rearview mirrors self adjusting again!! dealer told us when they fixed it the last time that this part was re-engineered and we wouldn't have this problem again. The fix worked up until now and here we are again!!!! haven't contacted the dealer yet.

After driving the car slowly lost power, my foot was on the gas, but it would not go any faster. I noticed this problem seems to happen after the car has idled for long periods. Then it gets power back after car has left to set 30 minutes to an hour. This has happened 3 or 4 times this year. On the interstate and city. Leaving me and my family stranded each time. So far this has just happened in the hotter months. Once it sits it doesn't happen again. Making it hard to take any where to get it checked out. The car stereo also is cold natured for some reason. In the winter it likes to change stations or cds until the car has warmed up. I have never heard of this.

The side view mirrors on the driver and passenger side will move at any time without a command. Too often when I want to change lanes, the mirror is not in the correct position. Dangerous.

Outside right and left rearview mirrors self adjusting. Installed yet another new memory switch #88995 3f200.

Left and right outside mirrors adjusting on their own all the time!! dealer special ordered parts to take care of this problem. New parts were installed on 1/24/13.

Outside left and right mirrors self adjusting. Dealer replaced both mirrors this time on 9/07/12.

Outside left and right rearview mirrors self adjusting. Dealer installed another new memory seat switch.

Left and right rearview mirrors adjusting on their own. Dealer removed and replaced seat control switch. Dealer couldn't duplicate problem on previous visit on 9/03/10 and told us to bring it back as soon as it happened again.

While parking in front of a coffee shop as I applied the brake to stop, the right side of my right shoe was over the gas pedal causing the car to continue forward striking a cement ashtray on the sidewalk pushing it into plate glass window.

I am an original owner of a 2004 kia Amanti with only 23000miles. My car has accelerated on its own such as the Toyota recent recall. Kia headquarters claim they've never heard of this problem. . Read more...

Check engine light keeps coming on. At times it clears by itself. They've changed sparlplugs ,sensors,etc, but keeps happening. I have to drive 50 evertime, and they seem to never fix it.

The contact owns a 2007 kia Amanti. While driving 15 mph, the driver side floormat was sucked into the engine through a hole beneath the brake and accelerator pedals. Once half of the floormat became stuck in the engine, it caused the brakes to stop working and the steering wheel to lock. The contact stopped the vehicle and managed to reach under the brake pedal and pull the floormat out of the engine. The vehicle has not been diagnosed by the dealer. The VIN was unknown. Speed control problem. Car lurges forward on takeoff.

Clear coat on my kia Amanti is peeling off. This clear coat problem first started on my front bumper and after a long inspection of the entire car my clear coat is coming off of nearly 200 little different spots. I have written complaints to kia America and have submitted complaints online and I have never, never heard anything back. I took my kia Amanti to the local dealership and their explanation was it was bird poop. I seriously doubt and kia can not prove that what is happening to my vehicle is the result of bird poop. I tried to show the manager at my local kia dealership the exact same problem with the brand new 2006 kia Amantis that have no miles on them and his reply was, I am sure that all happened when they were ship here but he never would let me show him.
