Administration on 6/26/20 a dealership made a tenative sale on a usec 2005 vehicle intentionally decieving potential buyer. Vehicle was unsafe to drive as it made misfire and the fluids in vehicle were all missing from each tank. The salesman denied me the right to test drive or opportunity to replenish missing fluids, advising vehicle is as-is. I explained I drove 60 miles one way and was not told the vehicle was as -is or in such terrible condition. Manager refused to assist me or speak with me as I would complain. The salesman said,"take it or leave it"!!! I did not purchase the vehicle but it must be listed as unsafe in a nationwide alert as left driver side impact on doors from bumper to front passenger door, left side fender hanging off , vehicle shaking bad, computer hardware and caps missing on engine. Electronic Stability Control problem #2

Ever since I have owned the car, the airbag light has been on and does not go off until the car is off. The rpm gage has always been erratic when driving at normal speeds. The car lurches forward when at a stop light and while accelerating. The engine smells as if wires are burning and it seems increasingly hot, but the gage stays normal. The gas tank cannot be filled quickly, I have to trickle gas into the tank brake pads wear down constantly. I have already filed a complaint about the brake light switch being defective and this should be addressed before someone gets killed.

Electronic Stability Control problem #3

I was driving the car down a 3 lane road. The windows began to open and close, the door locks did the same. Warning lights were flashing on & off on the dash and I had almost no control over the steering wheel. The light ahead was red and when I tried to stop the car, nothing happened. I tried putting the car in neutral to slow me down and pushed as hard on the breaks and I was unable to stop and his a car in front of me very hard. I had a concussion, sprained thorasic spine and neck. A sprain on my right hip and pulled muscle in my calf from trying to make the car stop. This totalled my car and caused severe burns from the air bags. The driver side door was stuck and I had to be pryed out of the car. We have always maintained the car and had all necessary repairs. The car had 99,239 miles on it. I truly though I would die. I am unable to get into my trunk to retrieve my property and I cannot tell you how disappointed in this vehicle.

Electronic Stability Control problem #4

Check engine light came on. Diagnosed as throttle position sensor. Car ran sluggishly for a short while, then that stopped, light went off. Today, light came on again. Backing out of a parking stall in a mall, the engine accelerated without touching the gas pedal, causing the car to lurch uncontrollably backwards, about ten feet. Fortunately, no pedestrian was behind the car, but if they had been, they would have been injured or worse. Called kia, they say there is no recall on this sensor, and it is not under warranty. From searching the internet, it appears this problem is widespread.

Electronic Stability Control problem #5

My check engine light comes on and my car loses power fast no matter what speed I am going. I put my foot on the gas and the rpm's go up and I am only able to drive at a speed of 20mph. At times my car will drive at a normal speed and the check engine light will be on . Its very strange. I've taken it to the dealer and they said that it needed a new catalytic converter. It was replaced under warranty. One week later the same symptoms and another out of pocket expense of over $1,000. 00 and another part. The problem still exists months later. Each time with a different diagnosis by the dealer. My mechanic diagnosed the problem when it first happened with his meter and it read electronic throttle body. I told this to the dealer months ago and thousands of dollars ago.

Electronic Stability Control problem #6

The car while driving turns off and later it will run but won't accelerate.

Electronic Stability Control problem #7

The contact owns a 2006 kia Amanti. While driving 75 mph, the throttle body stuck, shut everything down and also caused the pedal to stick. The traction control and the electronic stability is not working. The fly by wire system is all electronic, there is no actual cable that goes from the gas pedal to the throttle body. The dealer duplicated the failure and stated that they were able to correct the problem with the throttle body sticking; however, the failure continued to occur. The failure almost caused a crash. The manufacturer informed the contact that if he filed a lemon law complaint, they would not provide any further assistance. The contact has several service records that include numerous diagnosis that have been performed on the vehicle. The current and failure mileages were 18,000.
