Structure Problems of Kia Motor Amanti

2008 kia Amanti. Consumer writes in regards to brake pads issue and consumer requests explanation of who determines vehicle model year. The consumer stated on October 12, 2013, he had the brake pads replaced. The mechanic ordered 2008 pads and found they did not fit. He checked the information on the decal affixed to the frame of the vehicle, the owner's manual, warranty and consumer's information manuals and all of them showed the vehicle to be a 2007 model built in korea in may 2007. The mechanic then exchanged the pads for 2007 and installed them without a problem. The manufacturer informed the consumer, that many vehicles, were build in previous years. Updated 01/22/14.

The contact owns a 2007 kia Amanti. The dashboard trim is aluminum and reflects the sunlight onto the side mirrors of the vehicle. The reflection failure has almost caused the contact to crash the vehicle. The manufacturer advised him to take the vehicle to the dealer where he purchased it so they can change the trim. He has not yet been to the dealer. The current mileage is 600 and failure mileage was 500. The consumer stated the kia agreed to pay to have the reflective aluminum strip painted black. Caller took vehicle to dealer s for repair 4 times for same problem. The first time the dealer tightened the nuts that held the front end. The second time the dealer replaced the upper control arm on the front passenger side. They added some foam to the floor board because of the noise the floor was making. The third time they found something wrong with it but they did not have anyone to work on it. Caller was back to dealer today and they cant find what was wrong with vehicle. Manufacturer has not been contacted yet. Vehicle is still not repaired.
