I purchased the kia from a car dealership with fake carfax. I was told that it's a excellent condition and working vehicle no problems or recalls. I got a car loan on it and a week later I received a recall letter and. Kia never repaired it I told the bank and car lot and they demand more money from and I should them that they were informed about this before I bought it and they repo my car and still left me on the dmv records stating I have the car and forcing me to pay the loan and is triple my payments.

Air bags and seat belts did not work during an accident. Car was traveling 40 mhp on a city street when it struck another care from behind. Front driver and passenger seat belts did not lock and air bags did not deploy resulting in facial injuries and concussion for driver and passenger.

Vehicle was in a major crash on illinois route 15 in belleville IL. Vehicle was struck in the front driver side off center by a wrong way driver. Passenger in the kia was trapped under the dash. Passenger was wearing seat belt and it appears the seat belt failed to lock. Passenger airbags did not deploy. Passager was pronounced dead at the scene. Driver was wearing seat belt. The contact owns a 2016 kia Forte. While making a left turn, the vehicle stalled without warning and all the lights on the instrument panel illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the seat belt had a dent where the sensor was located. The vehicle was not repaired. I purchased this used vehicle two weeks ago. I noticed the rear center seat belt has about a 1-inch fray on it. I asked my salesperson to check if it was covered under kia's "bumper to bumper" warranty. He checked with his mishawaka indiana kia dealership's service department and was told it was. I took the vehicle to the dealership. The service manager took a picture and told me he would submit it to his boss. Two days later, he left me a message saying his boss was "declining" to replace the belt because it was frayed. That is exactly why I was asking it be fixed. I've owned hondas for 25+ years and never had a seatbelt fray. Plus, it disturbs me that kia is immediately declining to honor their "bumper to bumper" warranty, especially on what should be a relatively cheap fix. Shouldn't this be a safety issue that should be fixed under warranty on such a new vehicle?.

Wife got killed in it went thru a bridge closed.

The driver side seat track breaks after 66,000 miles or nine months making the seat shift wildly while driving. The dealer has no seat tracks in stock and no eta for back order. The seat lets do no unclasp unless jerked in several times after the release button is pressed.

Tl the contact owns a 2011 kia Forte. While the vehicle was stationary, the contact noticed that the rear passenger side and middle seat belts failed to retract and/or latch when prompted. Upon several attempts to extend the rear passenger side and middle seat belts for latching purposes, the seat belts made a loud clunking noise that sounded from the rear buckle assembly. In addition, the air bag indicator illuminated without warning. Front passenger seat belts click as though they are connected properly, but the buckle does not stay connected and disconnects during normal use, stationary, in motion, turning or going straight.

On Feb 14th, 2015 I was driving on a main road, there was a snow blizzard, it was just starting, I was trying to stop on an intersation my speed was less then 10mph, there was a truck in front of me, my car slipped hitting the hook on the truck. There is a small hole on bumper that small impact activated the airbags. My left wrist was broken. Ulna and radius fracture pretty bad. I was taken on ambulance to the hospital and got surgery 2 weeks after. It's taking me 6 weeks out of work and 3 months to recover. I belive the airbag at that speed shouldn't come out. The front window was broken because of passenger sit airbag and sitbelt on front sits have to be replace.

2010 kia Forte rear ended a 2012 Toyota venza while traveling at approximately 40 mph on wet asphalt pavement. Upon collision, the air bag failed to deploy and seal belt restraint failed to hold back driver of the kia. Drivers forehead hit and bent steering wheel and caused major front end damage to the kia and considerably less damage to the Toyota venza. Kia was not drivable, so it was taken to a salvage yard of a flat bed truck. Driver of kia was taken to hospital for x-rays and evaluation. Driver of kia suffer neck\back pain, bruised forehead and head ache and was prescribed pain pills & anti inflammatory medication. My greatest concern is that I own two kia's, one for each of my collage age kids and fear that the same outcome may occur again with dire consequences. Failure of the air bag deployment and seat belt restraint must be addressed and corrected by kia before more injuries occur.

Both driver and passenger seat belts fraying and ripping drivers side seatbelt has opened 2x during vehicle operation tail lights faulty, sparaticly turning on and off.

The rear driver side seat belt frequently doesn't latch properly. It clicks as if latched, then comes out when the seat belt is slightly pulled.

I was hit from behind in my 2011 kia Forte at 70 mph while I was at a complete stop. My brakes did not work at all for me to stop on the road before I was pushed into an 8ft deep ditch, into big branches and my car then bouced through a huge field. My air bags did not deploy as they should have, the front of my car is dented in from the impact of the ditch and then the seatbeat did not lock up, it threw me into the steering wheel. I am very unhappy about this. This is the 3rd time I have personally heard about the airbags not deploying in a kia and the seat belt not locking up.

In a multi hit car accident, initial 30 mph front end, then 20 mph rear hit. Seat belts did not lock, airbag did not deploy.

My wife was involved in a single vehicle accident in our 2010 kia Forte koup, she was traveling 50 mph and attempted to avoid a dog in the roadway when she over corrected and went off the road and hit a ditch, the vehicle was deemed "totaled", during this accident the air bags failed to deploy and the seatbelt failed to restrain her, my wife hit the steering wheel with her forehead, nose, and upper chest.
