44 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 01/15/2024

I was driving up the 101fw north and where 405 north merges to 101 im vannuys CA. I'm going 65mph on the far left side, and my dash starts beeping and reads warning stop vehicle check brakes. My brakes go out, pedal to the floor sounding like grinding gears and doing some major damage, my acceleration stopped working. The 405 is merging on the left side so I had to avoid major traffic. I am a driver with skill as I Dodge slowed and stopped vehicles, and get to the shoulder before balboa blvd. I call for roadside assistance because kia says its free and its not. I was looking around the engine to see what the heck and unplugged the hybrid fuse and battery from back and suddenly it worked again and drive it home and right before I park I made a right turn, and it started beeping again, and this time it stayed this way. I almost lost my life, and I did lose my job because of it. Glendale's carspro kia service department is the worst department ever!, they would not help me get a tow, I paid for the tow. They charged close to 5 grand for a repair, hydraulic brake booster module, and a couple hundred for there highest service option (changing fluids, wipers, wash, detail, etc) this was a huge mistake amd took nearly two months! my car had dust on it they did not even check the pressure I had in my all 4 tires (emptied until 25psi) I started the vehicle and it started to hiccup as I idle I asked for the manager (a tall husky middle eastern guy with long hair and glasses). He replied"does your car have a check engine light on" I said "no" he said "comeback when it does. " I have received paper work from kia corp stating that I could be reimbursed. I sent that document in and never herd from them again. I call customer service I even went totheservicedpt and they erased my service record!finallyhappened, with my car still hiccuping, rareshutoffalarm. I exit fw ongreenlight, made left;alarm, nobrakes, nogas, hitcurb, nearpedestrians, transleaks, partrecalled, noresults, newproblem!.

On or around oct. 15th 2023, my abs light, engine light, and all these other lights came on. So I got it home I got a recall notice in the mail that day saying to park my car away from structures and other vehicles. So I had it towed to a kia dealer here in town. They had it for a week. They said they performed a diagnostic on it and replaced the recall part to come get it. So I go get it I drive off got a mile down the road and all the lights came on and said pull over and shut car off. So there iam on the side of the road calling a tow truck to tow my car back to the dealer. If they would have drove the car after fixing it they would experianced the all the lights lighting up on my dash. Now that want to tell me there is no remedy to the recall fix and that I need a new electric battery and it is going to cost me $12,000. This is my only means of transportation. Can someone stop messing around and take this seriously, now the kia dealer is paying for a tow to tow my safety hazard car back to my house. Now it does not run . . . It ran when it got towed there.

65 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2023

Suddenly while driving, vehicle produced a hybrid system warning light to stop driving immediately and do not drive. Next warning said to check breaks. Following the warning I tried to park, the car then rolled backwards, while foot was on breaks. Breaks did not work! I immediately put the car in park and turned the car off. Car was then towed to dealership. When vehicle arrived at dealership warning light was no longer displayed. Dealership flushed out break fluid and replaced break fluid. Car was picked up and while driving home (luckily was exiting highway) while getting off the ramp warning light came on again, had to stop vehicle in middle of road and place car in park afraid there would be no breaks. I waited with my hazzard lights on as cars passed. Once the road was clear, I proceeded to attempted to pull car closer to the side of road to get out of lane. As breaking to park vehicle on side edge of road, loud crunching noises were heard and had to place the car in park. Left vehicle running this time while having it towed back to the dealership instead of turning it off this way they could see the issue at hand. When tech witness the issue, I was told the car was unsafe and that it was the break module or also known as hydraulic electronic control unit. . Furthermore I looked up information on this issue and my make & model and year of my vehicle is listed on part 573 safety recall report 23v-652, page 3. Also report shows parts: component name 1 : hecu component description : hydraulic electronic control unit component part number : 58920-***** and also part number 58910- although my vehicle VIN number does not currently show a recall for this part, report also states VIN numbers will be released to dealerships November 10th 2023 and to the vehicle owners November 14th 2023. Not sure that my vehicle will be included but this definitely is a safety issue. If this would have been on the highway it could have caused an accident. This is not safe for anyone.

66 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 08/21/2023

I was turning into some parking spots so I could put my car in reverse and park closer to building I needed. I did not get a chance to putin reverse, the vehicle surged forward and was accelerating. My foot was not on the gas pedal. I was trying to brake. I turned steering wheel so I didn't hit brick building. I swiped the building and 2 vehiles on my right and still did not stop right away. I kept on the brake and the plants, rocks, landscaping I think helped it to stop. I can get police report in few days.

70 Service Brakes problem

Failure Date: 06/21/2023

The esc kight keeps turning on . The brake lights wont turn off, it wont let me accelerate while im driving at different speeds or it will decelerate abruptly. Yes its available for inspection. My safety and the safety of my two young children were at risk multiple times. This is my daily driver. And I was driving them to school when the car would not let me accelerate and someone almost hit me from the back. Also it happened to us on the freeway a few times as we are driving 65 mph the car decelerates abruptly almost causing major accidents while my children are in the vehicle with me. Not yet , I called the nearest kia dealer and they didnt have appointment LS until July - August. There were no warning lights at all. At first we didnt know what was the problem. After the few times it happened then the esc light turned on and it stays on. Also the brake light wont turn off even when the car is off.
