The contact owns a 2016 kia Optima. The contact notice the oil warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the stated there was no oil in the engine and added oil. The contact stated a couple of weeks later the vehicle oil warning light illuminated again. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic, and he stated there was no oil again, but no failure was found. The dealer was contacted, and they stated that there was no recall for the failure. The manufacturer was contacted, and they also stated that there was no recall for the failure. The failure mileage was 62,000.

2 Ignition Coil problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2021

The contact owns a 2016 kia Optima. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle sputtered. The contact stated that the vehicle was consuming an excessive amount of engine oil. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to a local dealer nor an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and referred the contact to the local dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 94,000.
