Steering Problems of Kia Motor RIO - part 2

Steering wheel locked up I was not able to control vehicle, I was driving to work went to go around a curve and steering locked up,the car was total lost.

The contact owns a 2007 kia Rio. The contact stated that the vehicle pulled to the right and left while driving. The dealer stated that the vehicle needed an alignment. After the repair, the vehicle continued to pull to the right and left. The kia dealer has performed four alignments on the vehicle. The contact was told that there may be failure with the tires. The tires were checked and no failures were detected. The manufacturer stated that nothing is wrong with the vehicle. The current mileage is 4,080 and the failure mileage was unknown.

I purchased this 2006 kia Rio lx new from gracia kia of albuquerque. After driving the vehicle for several days, I noticed that the car has a tendency to "walk" or "wobble" at freeway speeds of 65 mph or higher on primarily concrete freeways. This problem is not noticeable on paved road ways, just concrete freeways which have been grooved. I took the car to dealership and they checked the vehicle over and could not find anything wrong with the vehicle. I was told by the dealership that the mostly cause of the "walk" was the narrow wheelbase and the small tires that come on the car as standard equipment. On the service request, the fix was listed as "test drove the vehicle on freeway at higher speeds found vehicle to handle same as a new 06 Rio. Called tech line - no other info. Put on alignment rack - normal. Npf".

I purchased a 2003 kia Rio in may of 2003 and in a month I had hard pulling to the right every time I went left took in to dealer and they rotated the tires and said that this happens on the trip over. We left and it was still pulling a little, with in a week it was the same. Very hard to handle this pull to the right when going left,and I have had bad gas mileage and hard starts from the beginning,and have had my headliner replaced after a few months of owning this car . It goes back in tomorrow hope they fix the problems,.

Vehicle skids repeatedly, during normal operation. Handles poorly. Air bags did not deploy after head on collision.
