The kia Rio bought brand new at haddad kia in bakersfield, CA began having electrical issues in the year 2018. It began with overheating. Kia suggested that it was a fuse, and the replaced it. Upon replacing it the issue was fixed for 2 days. The overheating persisted, and went back to haddad kia. They then "tightened a loose hose" this fixed the overheating for 2 weeks. It then returned to the stage of overheating. It was once again returned to haddad kia where they said that the wiring harness had a loose connector, and needed to be replaced. The job took 2 weeks, upon getting the car back it didn't overheat for 45 minutes. The problem returned. The car went back to kia where they now say it was a melted fan connector. The car is currently in for repairs and unknown if this will fix the problem of overheating.

Head lights flicker on and off and then stays off. Forcing me to turn off and back on the lights manually with the switch to get them to come back on then repeat. . They turn of and I struggle to keep them on and I travel for work and allot of night time driving. Very frustrating and other drivers think I'm flashing them. Very unsafe and kia dealership would not fix it unless I pay them to fix it. My car has 23,000 miles at the moment problem started last year around 12,000 miles but age is past factory warranty. It does not matter if I'm driving or it's parked lights/wiring has a problem. This is a very serious safety issue that kia refuses to fix.

Dealer changed computer, wiring harness , 2 injectors, plug, timing belt, sensor and replaced comes switches . Bought a 2004 kia Rio in March 2005. It has been in the shop for the past 3 weeks. The consumer picked the car up at the shop, and it didn't make it off the lot before the car broke down again. Dealer offered me a rental car. Went back one week later to pick up the car and only went two miles before the car broke down again. Took the car back to dealer, and requested another car just like the one that I had a 2004 kia Rio. Dealer said could not trade the car without refinancing it. They did finance the house for the first car but refused to with the second car. Why cant the dealer finance the second car as they did the first?.

The vehicle has been taken into the dealership over 14 times and they have not replaced anything . They have reprogrammed the computer numerous times. The vehicle will work for awhile, no specific time, and then die again. Consumer's daughter actually drove vehicle which was located in south carolina. The visor was replaced. The interior light would not go off, the dealer stated it was a pinched wire. The liftgate latch was replaced and the parking brake was adjusted.

Due to an electrical problem the dealer had my vehicle for approximately 25 days. The car just shuts down. Dealer placed four fusible links on line that leads to fuse #13. The dealer had spliced into wiring harness, and they a did sloppy job. The dealer and manufacturer refused to correct this defect. My wife and family are now fearful of driving this vehicle due to unpredictable nature of defect and potential for serious physical harm to us.
While turning on the vehicle engine check light appeared on the dashboard and remained on. Vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that wiring system needed to be replaced.
