Tl - the contact owns a 2007 kia Rondo. The contact stated that the vehicle in February began to make a loud grinding sound. The vehicle was taken to a independent dealer (firestone: 301 oak spring rd. Washington, PA 15301),where the technician informed the contact the exhaust needed to be replaced. The vehicle continued the grinding sound, the dealer (south hills: 3644 washington rd, canonsburg, PA 15317) informed the failure was a rusted cradle and coil spring but will not exam the vehicle to assure that is the only issue. The manufacturer was notified and informed that the vehicle was over the 60,000 mile warranty and would not be able to assist. A case number was given to the contact 12707877. The VIN search revealed 1 recall but was not associated with this failure. The vehicle had been at the dealer since April 26th. The failure mileage was 76,000. Nb.
