The contact owns a 2007 kia Rondo. While driving 73 mph, the brakes failed to disengage the cruise control when the brake pedal was depressed. The contact pulled over to the shoulder and turned off the vehicle. The contact mentioned that the gear shift lever was stuck in the drive position, but was able to shift into park by using a key to press the shift-interlock tab. The vehicle was able to restart.
