I have a 2004 kia sendona lx van and the wheel barrings are bad I fixed it once already a month ago and it is already broken again both times it completely fell apart in to little peices when I took the wheel off.
The wheel bearings disintegrated and caused the whole hub to come off. Luckily we were right around the corner from our destination and weren't going very fast.
The contact owns a 2004 kia Sedona. While driving approximately 65 mph, the contact heard a loud cracking noise. A few moments later, he heard a loud explosion. The contact pulled over and noticed that there was a hole in the rear passenger side hub and the bearing was missing. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in recall 05v232000 (wheels). The vehicle had not been repaired. The current and failure mileages were approximately 97,000.
I had the front wheel bearings and hubs replaced at 65,000 miles on my 2004 kia Sedona under warranty due to play in the hub. Last month during a brake inspection I was informed that they are bad again the vehicle now has 106,000 miles. This is a potential hazard as when they fail completely the wheel will fall off potentially causing a serious accident. I believe this to be a design flaw since this only vehicle I have owned in 30 years that needed bearings replaced even once much less twice in 100,000 miles. Just to let you know the rear bearing were replaced twice already under warranty one time under a recall and another time as a result of another brake inspection.

We took or 2004 sedonda ex. To weston pontiac for a recall on the throttle cable, my wife also showed them the letter for the recall on the alloy wheels asked for them to check rear bearings for moisture in fear of a crash. After 3 hrs she was sent home said it was good and they would order parts. Something didn't seem right so I had her take it to be checked by other tech. His findings was moisture and was corroded with rust. Later when I was talking to kia's cac they got weston pontiac on the phone the shop said they never had time to check rear bearings we were lucky that no one was injured or deaths we have gotten a run around from them lies and only fixing 1/2 the problem. Saying our parts are in and they did not even have them just that kia has called and wanted to get them off their backs. We were also told to keep checking for moisture in the bearings and just bring it when we do. Its like saying drive with your eyes closed you never know when you may crash, as the recall says I don't like that odds with my wife & grandchildren lives at hand. Kia( karrie) is who I spoke to & gave me this # k1016279 to refer to my complaint said well your van is fixed and no one got hurt I don't see what your problem is. The lie to my wife saying or van was ok when never check and was not the risk they put my loved ones in with no concern for their lives and that they never fixed it they put a bandaid on it just to get us and this recall off them. I know the recall was not on the rental but it was not safe to be out on the road the tires were bold and was out of alignment that it pulled so hard to the right. The only thing they could say was no one told us. So they put us from one danger right into another. Please something needs to be done to stop them how many others have they sent off saying their vehicle is ok and not. Thank-you for your time and concern in this mater albert smith .
