The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who was unable to diagnose why the headlights failed. The mechanic replaced the low beam headlight bulbs. The failure had since recurred numerous times. The high beam headlights also experienced the same failure on one occasion. After each failure, the vehicle was taken back to the mechanic for repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was unknown.
