Two problems related to noises during shifting have been reported for the 1998 Kia Motor Sephia. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle was not shifting correctly. It would shift roughly and hard. Also, brakes made a squeaking noise when druving.
Transmission would make funny noises when shifting into gear. A new transmission was installed. Vehicle still having problems. Brakes: would squeal when applied. Had entire brake system changed twice & problem still exists. Alignment: due to the brakes, the tires were worn out on the inside & had to be changed.
