Four problems related to ignition switch have been reported for the 1999 Kia Motor Sephia. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle will at times start up in the morning, and at other times will not start. Contacted dealer, and dealer was not willing to do anything.
Upon removing key from ignition vehicle continued running. Also, when attempting to restart vehicle it failed to restart. Please provide any further details, consumer had contacted dealer.
Vehicle wouldn't start, and the battery died out. Also, when driving at any speed and applying the brakes, the brakes went straight to the floorboard.
Whenever the brakes (abs) are applied, steering wheel would shake. After going 65mph or better, the entire vehicle would shake/vibrate. The abs brake system was repaired twice. The air conditioner makes loud noises when turned on. Sometimes the vehicle would not start or catch right away. Needs to jiggle key to get it started.
