Three problems related to side/window air bag have been reported for the 1999 Kia Motor Sephia. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving on road, traveling 55mph and up, ahead there was an accident. The vehicle in front stopped to look at the accident that already accurred. Driver wasn't paying attention and rear ended vehicle in front. Driver's side airbag didn't deploy.
When consumer's vehicle crashed into the passenger's side of another vehicle, there was no deployment of the driver's side or passenger's side air bags. Vehicle was traveling about 10-15 mph when crash happened. Vehicle has been repaired. Also, brake rotors have been replaced twice , once at 3,000 miles, and again at 6,000 or 7,000 miles. However, brake rotors need to be replaced again.
The vehicle rear ended another vehicle at 20 to 25mph, and neither driver's side nor passenger's side airbags deployed. Dealer has not seen vehicle.
