Equipment Problems of Kia Motor Sephia - part 2

Engine light came on, car began to idle really high then really low and would stall. Thermostat was replaced only a week later after the dealership supposely called korea.

Engine check light comes on after driving for awhile and remained on. Had taken to dealership 5 times for problem which was intermittent. Informed by mechanic that problem can be repaired.

This is to protest the kia advertisment showing 2 women in road rage in a parking lot. Have written to cbs and kia. Request removal of this ad. It promotes violence and road rage and there is far too much already. I hope that this issue gets addressed. No safety defect listed in summary.

I reported this to kia and tried to trade the car, but kia would not make an even trade they wanted me to finance the new car which would have put me up side down with financing. No safety defect listed.

Engine check light is on/leaking motor oil/ power steering binding, and front and rear seat belts do not retract.

Dash warped and faded causing poor fit. Mjs.

Engine check light/air bag lights are on. Car will not start, also, there was a problem with the brakes. When applying the brakes, pedal went to the floor, consumer almost had a collision.

The original problem was the gas guage not reading the proper level, after it was repaired it occurred again. The same day as the second repair the gas tank developed a leak. Three months after this repair the leak reoccurred. It was repaired and within 1 week was back in the shop with another leak. The vehicle in now the northtown kia being repaired for the third leak.

Failure of front brakes 3 times, dash board wire harness failure causing dash board displays, starter wire harness failed and needed to be replaced, paint rubbing off and blistering, lowed noises/vibration under driver side when driving in wet condittions,, poor gas milage, faulty gas guage, broken right rear speaker, back right door weather gasket falling off for the third time, slopp steering responce during quick turns.

Repetedly repaired for same problems and still same things not needing to be replacd had to be car is a lemon.

Was starting to slow down & had pressed brake pedal. Heard a grinding noise. Pressed harder & vehicle was not slowing down. Again pressed lightly & vehicle was able to stop. Took vehicle to dealer & mechanic informed driver owner entire braking system needed replacing. This was the 5th time it happened. Also, vehicle would not turn over when starting. Heard clicking noise. Needed 4 tries to start. Check engine light came on & stayed on.

Weatherstrip came off. Nlm.

Vehicle weatherstriping caming off. Nlm.

The first month I had car the ignition/steering locked and needed towing by kia-nothing charged to me. The check engine light has been coming on and staying on shortly after 'repair' ever since I bought car 3-28-1998. I just got "run-around' from western diversified/kia and independent repair shop over axles. Kia told me nothing covered after 36,000 mi. . After I thought I could send in bill for axles to extended warranty instead of calling at the time (male chauvinist mechanic) and after western diversified seeminly indicated axles part of routine maintenance (cv boot-didn't know were going bad) and I couldn't afford $200-300 for dealer to check car earlier-- dealers and kia then say I have 5/60 warranty on engine/trans and now won't cover axles because of independent mechanic touching car and he won't back up his 'warranty'. I just started full-time work not as a temp (but term) with CO I worked 5 1/2 yrs before. All my money is going alternately to car repairs then catch up on car pmts and ins and I still need to move and can't afford to and really steamed and writing to atty general about kia--y2k means yuck to kia.

Rear molding warped. Nlm.

Engine check light came on and stayed on. Also, transmission stick shift kept sticking, and engine head gasket blew out. Dealership replaced engine head gasket and stick shift.

I am no longer going to make payments on this lemon!.

When starting the vehicle up vehicle doesn't start up properly. Also, when driving at any speed and applying the brakes, they go half way to the floorboard, and vehicle jerks. In addition, computer chip/ gear shift malfunctioned. Vehicle has been into the shop over ten times. Air bag light and the check engine light keep coming on. Dealer can't determine the cause of the problems.

The consumer has been experiencing several problems wit vehicle. The horn, brakes, engine check light, and gas lights has been malfunctioning. When they put in gasoline in vehicle, it shoots back out and the gas light continues to illuminate. The manufacturer has been contacted.

Seems like every 3-4 months brakes start to pulsate, 3 times so far, each time replaced, being told that wrong style being used, engine check light just started acting up for the 6th time, each time being told it is sensors or ground connections. Just noticed the clutch problem of going too low to floor for the 6th time, each time being told something different. This is getting old. Went to open drivers door one day an handle would not work. Was leaking fluid from right front side of vehicle another time to find it was the axle seal, which was replaced 2 times. Getting ready to tell dealer they can have this car. For only having less than 14,000 miles, too much is happening too often.

Has been in 17 times and still need brakes and everything else. What a piece of junk !!manufactor refuses to honor warranty.

Engine check light constantly stays on. Dealer was contacted.

Dashboard, door locks, gas door latch, interior cloth fabric.

Check engine light comes on; intermittent problem. Windshield wiper motor fails to work. Intermittent problem. Heater makes noises when turned on. Also, an intermittent problem. New tires wore uneven & wore out before 12,000 miles. Will be taking vehicle to dealer.

Was driving vehicle when the engine check light came on. Had taken vehicle to dealer at least a dozen times. Each time told problem fixed, but it reappears.

I've had to replace both front seat belt recepticles due to failure of latch. The engine check light stays on constant even after it is reset. I would like to know why.

Engine: check engine light comes on and vehicle stalls right in the street with no warning at all. Has been in shop several times for this, and they can't find a problem.
