Vehicle suffers catastrophic high pressure fuel pump failure on highway resulting in loss of power. Dealership replaced part. This is a high pressure direct injection engine. Engine has suffered extreme noise, vibration, and harshness issues since new. Sudden loss of power at highway speeds is potentially life threatening. The reliability of this direct injection fuel system appears poor. Our 2013 only had 24k miles at failure.
