Simple, just like everyone else here that complained about loss of power. But I had a diagnosis both by autozone and the kia dealer. The diagnosis error code p0717 turbine input shaft speed sensor and wiring harness faulty due to corrosion from moisture getting in from not having adequate sealing or poor quality of rubber seal. Pulling out of stores or my driveway became very damages as you could imagine and I feel the manufacturer should address any and all loss of power issue cause it can result in serious injury or death! I hope you agree and take action to help us all out please.
The contact owns a 2014 kia Sorento. The contact stated that while at a complete stop, a strong burning odor emitted inside of the vehicle. The vehicle was maneuvered to the side of the road where the driver exited the vehicle. In addition, small flames ignited from the rear trailer hitch wiring harness and driver's side tail light. The fire department extinguished the fire and disconnected the battery. The contact stated that the failure occurred twenty days after the new trailer hitch was installed. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer and had not been repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 32,000.
